How is Sunny? Did the doctors figure out what was happening in time to save Sunny?

Sunny has not survived. The doctors did find the virus that caused her to be sick, in fact it appeared that she was under attack by three different aggressive viruses, which is why the doctor had been so baffled by her symptoms. They found out about the three viruses too late to save her.
