Over the last 10 year a lot has happened in the Royal Family: The Crown Princess Charlotte and her husband welcomed their first daughter. They named her after her late mother, her little halfsister who died some years before her birth, her stepmother and younger halfsister.
Prince Ignatius and his wife welcomed their first daughter Magdalenia, whose middlenames honor her mother, paternal aunt and again the late Princess Louise.
Edmund's health became much better after being so sick in his childhood, and he married Cecilia, the oldest daughter of a noble family. They welcomed the twins Malcolm (named after his father, uncle and grandfather) and Lucretia (named after her late aunt, her other aunt and her grandmother).
Princess Augusta, who was supposed to marry into another Royal Family, decided against it and married, like her brother, the son of a noble family. She and Thaddeus have twin sons Stephen and Absalom, both are named after their uncles and grandfather.
The youngest son Johannes got engaged to Lady Catarina of Solandra. Their wedding is planned for the summer.
The oldest son was diagnosed with a rare genetic deceased which leaves him unable to have children, while Jacobine is infertile as well. This causes them great disstress, because they both looked forward to have children on their own like his siblings. Since his sister, the Crown Princess, has children on her own the succession to the throne is save.
The king, at age 65, is feeling more and more week and is often sick, so he decided that he won't be the king for far too long anymore, and started to involve Charlotte more and more into the acts of state.
