Twist: When you found out you decided to keep it from your hubby for a little bit. But he not too long later (like several days later, before you planned to tell him) he asked you if you were pregnant. How did he know? How did your family react? If you were engaged/dating did you get married? How was your pregnancy? How are you managing the baby? Are you both still working? If the baby fussy or calm? How big of an age difference do you want between this kid and the next? Also the baby looked like one of your in-laws, did that suprise you? Did anyone else notice?

When Josh asked me if I was pregnant I was shocked that he would know and after I told him yes and we started looking at names he admitted that his father had said that I was acting the same as his mother had with him. The 9 months of the pregnancy were surprisingly easy in the last month I started getting morning sickness but other than that I was fine. Myself and Josh will both continue working I took a break for about 4 months but the paper I work for has agreed to take me back. Isabella is the sweetest little girl we could ask for and everyone says that she looks like her grandfather. We hope to have another kid in the next year or to so that she won't grow up alone as Joshua did.

Tim was a very quiet person, and around him Melissa felt free to be quiet and exist. They were comfortable in each others surroundings and could sit silently with each other and have an experience as emotionally enriching as in-depth conversations were for other couples. Communicating silently meant that both of them were more attentive to small changes in equilibrium. In the days after Melissa found out she was pregnant, the equilibrium quietly shifted. She began to take long walks in the afternoons when she usually worked. She frowned more. She began to look through things that she was looking at. Her conversation became distracted. Tim, in his respectful, silent way, didn't ask about it for over a week.
She didn't know why she wasn't telling him. She knew he could see the changes. It would come out sooner or later, and they would deal with it together. But it still seemed like something private, just for a few days. One morning she stared out the window with her hand absently on her stomach. Tim stood in the doorway for a few seconds. She looked at him. "Melissa," he said.
She looked at him. They both knew.
"You're pregnant."
Melissa looked back out the window.
Tim came and sat with her and they both looked out the window. After a few minutes he stood up. "I've got to go to work," he said.
"Bye."
"Bye."
What were they going to do? Melissa was reluctant to hint at marriage, and Tim did his part not to say anything about it. They stayed roughly on opposite sides of this issue; Melissa had always quietly wanted children and marriage, and Tim was finished with both institutions. But here was Melissa pregnant. Nancy had reacted with wide eyes and the question: "So are you gonna get married?"
"Maybe," said Melissa. The question was in the air.

If you were engaged/dating did you get married? We were married for about 7 months before. We really did want to wait but since it just happened I guess the best thing to do is to say "Let the Lord have His way."
How was your pregnancy? Little bit of morning sickness but it was pretty good.
How are you managing the baby? He's doing pretty good at home and I think as first time parents were doing pretty good too.
Are you both still working? I'm not but Thomas is he took about three weeks off to be with me and the baby.
If the baby fussy or calm? Pretty calm he is a little fussy but only when he needs something.

Adelina sleeps a lot and is a very calm baby. Both are working, Carmen works from home and can easily tend to the baby.

The couple agreed that certain faces Adelina pulled reminded them of Alex's sister. However, only the only other people who have seen this expression were Carmen and Alex's mothers, and they also agreed.

Well after i found out i decided to wait a week or two, before telling him. But after a week he asked me if i was expecting. At first i was shocked. As it turns out I had been acting a bit strange. And being the sweet observant man he is he followed the clues to the answer. When I asked him if he was mad he held me in his arms and said "Are you kidding? This will be great!"
How did your family react?
To tell you the truth, my parents weren't suprised. They knew i loved kids. And my father had been bothering us about it since we got married. My family was very happy, as was his. They always wanted a grandchild

I had terrible nausea between weeks 6 & 12. But then it seemed to go away. Not too long after the baby started kicking (and to this day she never stopped). It was a pretty easy pregancy and she was born 8lbs 3oz

I think we are handling her fairly well. I stay home with her, and during the night i get up to feed her. Tony helps.
Are you both still working?
Sarah was born in May (on the 14th), so the school year was over 2 weeks later ( i was still on Maternity Leave). I'm not going back next year.

Yes, we all noticed. It was hard NOT to. Sarah looks exactly like my MIL. No one else in the family is blonde (well, i was a dirty blonde when i was little) or had those stunning blue eyes. My MIL keeps on denying it (trying to be modest, first grandkid!) but we all know it's true!

My husband is a very observant man being that he is an Inspector for the Feds (the “Tree Police” is what I call him). When I found out I was thrilled but I wanted to wait before telling him because this was a very unexpected pregnancy. We were hoping to wait another three to five years. I also wanted to find an awesome way to tell him he was going to be a Daddy! He knew something was up – I was a bit flighty, nervous and distracted (who wouldn’t be once you found out that you were going to be a parent?). We were driving home from dinner one night and I was feeling a bit woozy. Suddenly, “PULL OVER!” I yelled. I hurled all over the rear passenger tire. He got out to check on me. “Are you alright?” he asked. “Yeah. I’m not sure what came over me,” I laughed nervously. He was bent down with me rubbing my back. “Are you pregnant?” he asked, concerned. I froze. Crap. “Uh…” I stuttered. “I notice at dinner you didn’t have your usual glass of wine,” he grinned. “Plus, you’ve been acting really strange lately; like you’ve got something on your mind. Oh, and 2 weeks ago you didn’t use the heating pad that you religiously have been doing since before we got married,” he said bemused as he stoked my cheek. “Are you mad?” I asked nervously. “So is this a ‘yes’?” he chuckled. “I am more than thrilled.” He hugged me tightly and kissed me. The drive home was quiet but happy.

Both of our family's were thrilled seeing that this was the first grandchild.
My husband is proud that his son favors him but I think secretly he wished that Donovan had my blue eyes. My father-in-law always says something along the lines of "Unbelievable how he looks just like his grandmother." Of course, my mother-in-law (and her humble self) denies it but there is no way that anyone else can. "The proof is right there in front of you, Mom," Jon always tells her.
