King Luka has had a son and a daughter in the past five years. They join Crown Prince Gerard and Princess Effy.

The country mourned Queen Mary Phillipa's death for a long time. She was loved by all, and most started feeling guilty of the amount of pressure she had been through due to her possible inability to bare children. Still, against all odds, Phillip was born. Phi wanted the baby to be called Peter if it were a boy, but Luka felt he should pay that last homage to the woman he had loved.
He waited a year to get re-married, although his advisors found him a bride almost immediately and kept insisting he made her the new queen the whole time. Diana is the king's second cousin. She doesn't have the angelic look Phi had, and it took two years for the people to warm up to her - most specifically when she gave birth to Princess Gwyneth. Because Phillip was very young when his father re-married, he is very attached to Diana and has no problems with calling her mommy, although he makes a distinction between his "mother" and his "mommy". The usually sweet kids, Gerard and Effy, have shut down a bit, specially the crown prince. But slowly, Diana is wining them over, explaining she is not trying to take their mother's place.
