Jack is born 4 years into Taylor and Samantha's marriage, which they feel is the perfect time to start a family. They give him the middle name "Richard" to honour Sam's favourite uncle who died young. They are overjoyed with the new arrival and make the necessary changes in their scheule, Sam becoming a stay-at-home-mum with plans to start running a family day care centre from their house.
