King William VI and Queen Aurelia welcome a princess!

The first three years of William and Aurelia's marriage was childless (though Aurelia did suffer through two miscarriages). The Umbresian nobility, fed up with waiting for a Courfeyrac heir, threatened to overthrow the Crown and install their own successor. William's cousin Konrad, Duke of Caragard, led the uprising, fully intent on claiming the throne for himself and the House of Daaé. Fortunately, around the same time, Aurelia became pregnant and carried the baby to full term. On the same day that his first child and daughter, Sofia, was born, William ordered Konrad to be executed for high treason. Although it was not the hoped-for son, Sofia's arrival placated the nobility and brought them back into line.
As is custom, Sofia was sent away shortly after her birth, to her own estate in Aelbourne. Her parents are absolutely smitten with her -- her father especially -- and visit her as often as they can.
