Once upon a time, there was a lovely young lady named Celesta Faye Dupree. She was a delicate girl with fair colouring and an easy smile. At a very young age (namely, sixteen), she fell in love with a tall, dark, and handsome stranger. His name was Robert Allen Vipond, and while he was tall, dark, and handsome, his prospects weren't all that good. Celesta didn't care and married him less than a year after meeting him.
Meanwhile, a young man by the name of Antonio Ramiro Garza, was marrying as well. He was older than Celesta by a good ten years and had been engaged to the love of his life, Christine Anne Delinsky, for two years before their wedding. Antonio was not tall, dark, and handsome, but two out of three (namely tall and dark) wasn't bad. His bride-to-be was a stocky brunette who laughed a lot and had expensive tastes in clothes.
Who could imagine that these two couples were headed for disaster? Five years (and four babies) after Celesta and Robert's marriage, he disappeared into the night, never to return to her. Antonio's dear wife, Christine, did little better. They divorced after he discovered her in a more than compromising position at her office's Christmas party. That left Antonio with two girls and a boy to take care of--Christine only took the children out for fun and ice cream on the weekends.
By a chance of fate, Celesta and Antonio met at a speed-dating night at a local bar, three years after the previous events occured. Celesta had been pushed into it by her best friend, Rachel, while Antonio figured it couldn't be the worst way to spend a Friday night. They connected instantly over expensive mixed drinks and got each others' phone numbers before leaving that night.
And the rest, as they say, is history. Celesta and Antonio were married a year later (Celesta had a habit of rushing into things, you see). She was 24, he 34. Their families hoped desperately that the two would finally find peace in each other.
They did. Before the year was out, Celesta was pregnant once again. Through their happy life together, Celesta and Antonio ended up having five more children, bringing their family up to a total of 12!
