Hey, and welcome to the first round of my first Writing Congrats! If you want to sign up, you are welcome to do so, as there are three places left - simply fill in the form below...

Every family has had a child and a random event for you to include in your writing (as well as telling us about the new arrival, and how the family are getting along in general). What a year for the Hart-Moxon family! Kitty unexpectedly fell pregnant just before starting her third year of university so has taken a year out to raise baby Noah. Although the timing isn't great, the pair couldn't be more in love with their baby son. His middle names honour his grandfathers.
It has also been an exciting year for Leo. His novel was published and released to critical acclaim. It spent more than a month high on the best seller list so naturally he did many interviews. However, the best piece was written by the small local newspaper that Leo had worked for as a summer intern.

After one more year, Abbie and Caleb were finally able to have a child. They named the little boy Oliver Ross after both of his grandfathers. The baby arrived safely and the couple, with their new baby, left the hospital and went home. Abbie stays at home with Oliver and has to leave her job for the first few months. Caleb still works but less hours and he barely travels for a while. The family gets help from neighbors, relatives, and close friends.
A month later, Caleb gets a call from the editor of the local newspaper. He says that he wants to do an interview of him being an animal trainer. He wants to know all about his job, his travels, and being a father and a husband while having the job.

Novella was terrified when just a few months after the wedding she discovered she was pregnant. Given that she wasn't even sure if she loved her husband she was worried about having the baby. However her worries disappeared when Sierra was born, she only had to hold her tiny baby daughter in her arms and Novella was speechless. She took one look at Jasper holding their little daughter and knew that she was completely head-over-heels in love with the both of them.
The couple's apartment in the West End was simply too small to accomodate all three of them and so they moved to a lovely house in a town just outside of Glasgow. Jasper spared no expense and wanted only the very best home for his new family.
While Jasper only has a year of his degree left and has to continue going into Glasgow, Novella has decided to give up lecturing and continue with her painting in the comfort of her own home so that she can have as much time with her new daughter as possible. The couple are very happy and now can't wait to expand their family.

Jay is an extroverted English soccer player. He began playing football when he was just 3 and it became his biggest passion... until he met Imogen. Imogen is a beautiful ballroom dancer. She started lessons at just 4, when her mother brought her. She was swept up in the magic of it and started entering competitions and winning. She became quite famous for her talents and has even appeared on some talk shows. She still competes and teaches lessons on the side.
Jay and Imogen met at a random party. Neither recognised the other from their careers, even though both are relatively famous. There was instant chemistry, a whirlwind romance and the perfect wedding. They are like chalk and cheese, but hey, opposites attract!

David and Ivy both come from a small town in North Carolina. David's parents split when he was a child, his mother moving to Missouri to live with Jerome, the Milk Man, and his father becoming something of an alcoholic.
He worked his way through community college where he met Ivy, a young, pretty farm girl looking to become a freelance journalist. She was loquatious and brash, if not a bit off-puttingly so, and had a youthful air around her that Dave became smitten with. They married while they were both still in college and moved into a small apartment.
A few months after they married, Ivy's grandparents, who had been taking care of her, died and left her their small farmhouse and livestalk. They live there now, with a few sheep and chickens and crops.

After a leisurely afternoon strolling through the Central Park Zoo, Avi proposed to Joss at the red panda exhibit using his mother's ring. Elated and excited, Joss accepted, and the two were married less than a month later in a small, traditional Jewish ceremony at a local reform synagogue. The reception, however, was anything but traditional and would remain a legend in their groups of friends for years to come.
Less than a week after returning from a lovely honeymoon in the Bahamas, Joss discovered she was pregnant and promptly freaked the hell out. When Hyun-Jin was pregnant with their daughter they discussed to adopt a pet. They were looking for a little puppy, so that the dog and their child could grow up together. But after Victoria was born they had second thoughts on training a dog and taking care of an infant at the same time. Eventually they decided not to adopt a puppy until their child was a little bit older.

Anya continued to work as a photographer until one week before their son's birth. Aidan never stopt playing soccer. Actually he had a very important game the night before his son's birth. They found out early that it was a boy and of course the press found out that and asked them what they were going to name him. Aidan and Anya become tiredof saying "You'll just have to see" so they told everyone that he was going to be named President Willeyham. When the baby was born the press and all the other's thought that he was actually ging to be named PW. But surprise, Aidan and Anya told the press the baby's real name a week after his birth. Dmitri Alexander.
Anya wanted a russian firstname while Aidan wanted something more english and neutral, so nother like PW. Aidan voted for Alexander as his firstname but they eventually agreed on naming him Dmitri. They wanted to keep up the A pattern, however only with his middlename whch became Alexander at last.
