Edith and Dolly are both quite old now. They live with Charlie and Mabel, but they too are getting older and are finding it increasingly difficult to take care of Edith and Dolly.
Barbara and Angus welcomed their third daughter in 1954. They named her Ellen Rutherford. They still live in the small Scottish town and are enjoying life in the countryside. Maura and Bridget are now in school and are doing well. Angus and Barbara are not planning to have anymore children.
Dorothy and Martin are raising their children and going about their daily business. They have recently relocated to New York, where Martin had been offered a job.
Hank married a woman named Margot Moore in 1952. Two years later they welcomed their first child; a boy, who they named Arthur Henry Charles Washington IV. They call him Arthur and sometimes Art.
Edward is still married to Caroline and they are raising Matthew, Melissa and Marcus together.
Simon and Georgia welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 1952. They named her Diana Fournier Washington. Three years later Georgia gave birth to a son, who they named Nicholas Fournier Washington. He goes by Nick.
Audrey and Eddie now have two children; Ethan and Leah. They don’t want to have more kids. Audrey is a housewife and Eddie is a school teacher.
Bobby has married a woman named Eleanor, and she recently gave birth to twins; Debra and David Washington. Bobby is fresh out of college and works at an office in Boston.
Jane and John are both still single and in college.
Nothing has really happened in Martha and Everett’s lives. Aster is now seventeen and will be off to college in a year. She is going to Berkeley.
Ada now has even more grandchildren.
Sunny and Daniel welcomed son Bruce Haynes in 1952 and daughter Allison Haynes in 1955. Sunny doesn’t want to have more children, but Daniel would like one or two more.
Drew married a woman named Daphne in 1952. She gave birth to a daughter, Veronica Dubois, in 1953.
Aleksey and his wife Laura welcomed twin boys in 1955. They named them Wesley and Harvey Dubois.
Kay is still single. She works as an assistant producer in Hollywood.
Nora and Jack now have 10 grandchildren!
Patrick and Mary haven’t had anymore children. They moved back to Philadelphia in 1953 for work.
Thomas and Mary Beth have had two more girls; Rachel and Sarah Cameron. They would like to try for a boy soon.

Phyllis married a young man named Ben Fletcher in 1955 and 7 months later she gave birth to healthy twin girls, who were not premature. Ben and Phyllis named the girls Susan and Lisa Fletcher.
