A big year for the Salpeter family. Lizzie, the youngest, just married off to a law clerk in Chicago, Joseph A. Peterson. George and Alice welcomed in their first child, although sadly little Kitty Delucie didn't survive more than a couple days. The couple was heart-broken. But 3 years later, Mike G. Salpeter was born, a perfectly healthy baby boy.
Henry has fallen on poor health. He's down with pnemonia, and they suspect that he can only have a few more months to live. Flo is still grappling with the information, although she's dealing remarably well.
