DS: John Walter III "Jonny" (newborn)
Jack Fields and Marie Ingram grew up together in a small Indiana town. Their families are both farming families who work hard to make a living. Jack was born in 1877, the third of four brothers. Marie was born in 1880, the second of three children. The two went to grade school together, and Jack started farming with his father when he was sixteen. Jack and Marie started courting in 1895, when he was eighteen and she was fifteen. By 1898, they had plans to marry. Jack's father helped him put a down payment on some available land, and he proposed to Marie. In 1899, the two were married and had started to live on the farm. Jack farmed the land, and Marie kept house for him in addition to helping her mother raise her young brother, Thomas, who was eight at the time.
Now, in late 1900, Jack and Marie have welcomed their first child! Its a little boy! They decided to continue Jack's family tradition of naming the first son after the father. So, little John Walter Fields the Third, known as Jonny, was named. Marie loves having a baby of her own, and hopes to have many more--or at least three or four. Jack is very proud of his son, though he was nervous because Marie got sick a lot during her pregnancy. During the last few months, she even moved back home with her parents since Jack was out in the fields all day and wasn't there to keep an eye on her.
Jack, Marie, and Jonny are busy building a happy life for themselves.
