Our first son is Louis Augustus (Louis is pronounced the French way). When choose the name for our some we wanted something strong and handsome and rich in history yet suitable for the future King of England. William really wanted to stray from the usual yet keep some tradition. Louis was the name of 18 kings of France, including Louis IX (Saint Louis) who led two crusades, and Louis XIV (the 'Sun King') who was the ruler of France during the height of its power and the longest reigning monarch in the history of Europe. Also, Louis Riel was a Canadian rebel leader and a supposedly related to me. Augustus means "great" or "venerable", and was the title given to the first Roman emperor who was the adopted son of Julius Caesar. I also had a great-great grandfather named August. Our son Louis has straight brown hair and his daddy’s gorgeous blue eyes. He has Will’s mouth and nose and my smile and eyebrows (unfortunately). He is a happy-go-lucky child.
Two years later… Louis gets two brothers, Jacob Peter and Henry Christopher. Yes, twins, a first in English Royalty. Jacob was named after my brother Peter Jacob “Jake” and Henry was named after Will’s brother Henry “Harry” and my best friend Chris. Being identical they both have blonde hair and brown eyes and are smaller in stature like me, rather than their older brother who is tall like their father. Jacob is very outgoing and has a smart remark for everything. He is also very athletic and enjoys many sports but enjoys swimming, hunting, and horseback riding the best. Henry is rather shy, but not anything less than his brother. He is very talented and artistic…a reincarnation of Leonardo Da Vinci!
Two years after the twins … a princess is born. Elisabeth Charlotte looks like a mini Diana. She has blonde straight hair but does have my brown eyes. Elisabeth was not only named after her great grandmother but also after a character in my favorite movie – Elizabeth Swan in The Pirates of the Carribean. We chose to spell it with an “s” instead of a “z” because then it also contains my name eLISAbeth. Charlotte is after the band Good Charlotte and many cousins, aunts, and other relatives. I really wanted to name her Diana, though.
When Louis was 6, Jake and Henry 4, & Elizabeth 2 we got a family pet, a gray Shetland pony named Olivia. One of the hired hands who works in the gardens always allowed the children to play with his sheep and horses and we all became good friends. His old Shetland mare died giving birth to the foal and the farmer decided it would be a great thing for the children to take care of it and have it as their own. They decided to call her Olivia. And she’s been one of the children ever since.
Olivia was not the only new addition to the family. Spencer Stephan is as cute as button with blond hair and large brown eyes. He’s is definitely the typical little brother, loves to play pranks on everybody including the bodyguards and nannies. He was named after his grandmothers maiden name and Stephan is a family name on the Windsor side.
5 years later… Louis is 11, Jake and Henry are 9, Ellie is 7, and Spencer is 5. Now that all the kids are in school, the castle is very quiet. At first it was great, but now the baby bug has hit once again. So Will and I talk it over and decide one more won’t hurt. We tried for 6 months but no luck. After talking with the fertility specialist you we are told the only way is by IVF. We chose six embryos and we got pregnant with quintuplets!! I think William Almost died on the spot. After the initial shock and worry, we decided to enjoy the children as they would be our last babies. The pregnancy went really well for a multiple birth and the babies were born a 30 weeks. They were all fairly healthy with no major problems. We are proud to announce 5 new princes and princes: Diana Celeste, James Napoleon, Benjamin Alaric, Emily Angelica, and Samuel Constantine.
