Gil and Marty Kaufman with their children Olivia and Gabe.
Gil Kaufman is a lawyer in the city while Marty is a chef at a top restaurant. Their children are used to their parents working long shifts and don't resent them for it. Olivia wants to be a writer when she grows up and Gabe is a big baseball fan.
Family 2 - The Rivera Family

Marisol Rivera and her children are on the witness protection scheme. She married when she was only 20 to her high school sweetheart, a policeman named Harry, and after the birth of their children she thought they would live happily ever after. However it turned out that her husband was involved in drugs and she witnessed his murder in the alleyway outside their home a year ago as she went to the car to get her handbag. Fearing that the murderer, who turned out to be a very important and well-connected person, knew who she was the CIA changed her name and moved the family out to Connecticut. Marisol is still too scared to go out much.

Anastas is a very important businessman who came over to America in order to expand his business empire. It seems to have worked and the business has made millions. Elena is a stay-at-home mom. Adela works as a secretary at her father's NYC offices where she now lives with her boyfriend. Isi graduates from High School this year and has applied to lots of colleges (mainly because she can't make up her mind), she just doesn't want to end up working for her dad like Adela has.
