Family 1 - The Mason Family
DH: Richard Timothy (33)
DW: Stephanie Faith (30)
DS: Hayden Sebastian (6)

Richard and Stephanie Mason inherited their home from Stephanie's grandmother who sadly passed away a few years back. They had previously lived in Pennsylvania but their house was in bad shape so really, as unfortunate as the circumstances were, the move couldn't have happened at a better time for them. Richard is the Deputy Head Teacher at the local High School, which is a job he loves no matter how awful the students are sometimes. Stephanie is also a teacher, though she teaches the Kindergarden kids. The kids love having such a large backyard and Hayden has lots of friends at his new school.
Family 2 - The Mackenzie Family
DH: Alex Nathaniel(43)
DW: Caroline Grace (40)
DD: Luella Sophia (15)
DMother: Amelia Isabel (72)
Dog: Bailey
Alex and Caroline Mackenzie have moved with their family from Wisconsin in order to take care of Alex's elderly mother who is getting very frail and ill in her old age and needs someone to look after her. Rather than put her in a home, Alex has decided to do the job himself. Alex is now a stay-at-home dad so he can look after his mother while Caroline has recently got a job as a curator at a local museum. Luella is a spoilt teenager and wasn't happy to leave her friends behind in Wisconsin. She plans on getting as far away from her family as possible when she graduates.
