The last 5 years have passed by without any upset for the Sutherlands. Both Agatha and Elizabeth are now married, with Agatha also giving birth to a son this year. Margaret Rose has since had two more children and visits her parents in Clydebank twice a year. This year the whole Sutherland family has been invited to London for Christmas with the Trumpington-Bonnets which should make for an interesting trip. James and Aileen's family has also grown, with Aileen giving birth to two sons in 1921 and 1923.
Catherine is pleased to see her children so happy and starting families of their own, but she feels the house is very empty now with just her, Robert and the two boys left. Robert hopes she doesn't get too overprotective of Bobby and John now that the other children are all grown up!
