LN: Thompson
DH: William Alexander "Wil" (24)
DW: Rebekah Faith "Bekah" (23)Fact: how they met and how the wedding was.
Random event: 8
Wil and Bekah met at a horse show--they were riding in the same dressage class. Wil ended up winning that show, with Bekah coming in second. Bekah couldn't stand the uppity teenage boy who had beat her--even if he and his horse did have slightly more talent. Wil and Bekah met at several more shows during that season--they were showing on the same circuit. Wil usually won their classes, and Bekah usually came in second. By the end of the season, however, Bekah had watched Wil compete enough times to know some of the tricks he used. In that show, Bekah and her horse pulled out a stellar performance, and she took first. Wil came in second. Wil came up to congratulate her afterward, and the two started talking. They mostly swapped information about their stables and their horses. The two didn't see each other until the next show season. They had both moved up to the next showing bracket and competed against each other once again. That year, they were evenly matched and each took home about the same number of firsts and seconds. For the next three years they saw each other during the summer show season, competing in dressage and open classes. The summer that Bekah turned eighteen, Wil showed up in front of her barn one day, pulling a trailer. He was nineteen. Bekah was at the barn at the time, and Wil found her almost immediately. She wondered why he was there--he had gone away to college, and Bekah was taking the showring by storm. Wil and Bekah talked for awhile, and it turned out that Wil didn't like the college life, and was looking for a stable that would let him board and show his horse. Bekah talked to her barn manager, and a place was found for Wil. Wil boarded his horse at the stable, and worked there as a barn hand in exchange. He also started showing on an adult amateur circuit. He started winning, and soon was making decent money from horse shows. Wil and Bekah grew closer over the summer, and soon they were dating. However, Bekah's parents wanted her to have a college education. So, Wil and Bekah separated while Bekah got her degree in Education and dated for the summers. Bekah followed Wil's show career while she was in school. Her freshman year, he made a total of $18,000. Her sophomore year, he made $74,000. By her junior year, Wil was making close to $10,000 per week at shows with some bonuses thrown in. He had expanded to a show string of three high quality horses, and people were asking him to train their horses. When Bekah graduated at the age of 22, Wil had a full-time job showing his horses and training others for people. He had saved up enough to buy a plot of land in Pennsylvania and had started building his own training facility. Three days after Bekah returned from school, Wil asked her to marry him. Bekah was elated, and immediately accepted. They were married in the following October, on the 14th. By that time, Wil's training facility had been finished, and he was beginning to take clients. Wil and Bekah started renting an apartment while a large house was being built on the property. Wil continued competing, and they hired a weekend stable tech at the training facility, so that Bekah could travel with Wil. While Bekah herself still owned the horse from her teen years, her parents pressured her to find a "real" job. So, Bekah leased her horse out to a young teenage competitor and started looking for a teaching job. She was able to find a position for a teacher going on maternity leave. Bekah now works as a fifth grade teacher, and Wil travels the show circuit. The couple have talked about having children, but aren't sure that they're ready just yet to have kids.
