Good news first: In the past five years, Edward and Ethel have had five healthy children, including a set of twins. In 1906, they had a son, Griffin Josiah. The next year, another boy was born, Hunter Lucien. And the following year, they had a daughter, Zoe Marcelle. Two years later, in 1910, they welcomed the twins, a boy named Ashley and a girl named Sofia.
The bad news: Edward’s brother, Henry, passed away this year, as a result of an accident at work. His wife, Helen, passed away in 1908, while giving birth to their third child. The three children, Henry Thomas Jr, Rose Emma, and Grace Helen all became orphans. Instead of letting them go to an orphanage, Edward and Ethel took them all in.
The little house is now quite crowded, with fourteen people living in it. In the summer, Edward is going to enlist the help of Sky and some of the neighbors to expand it.
Sky, Leo, Henry Jr (who is called by his middle name, Thomas), and Ava all go to public school in town. Ethel is homeschooling Jenny, Griffin, and Rose. Rose is a bit difficult to teach, but Ethel tries to be patient with her—she understands the hardships she’s gone through recently.
Edward and Ethel have Sky, Leo, Thomas, Ava, Jenny, Griffin, Rose, Hunter, Zoe, Grace, Ashley, and Sofia.
