Right after Alec and Juliet moved in together, they found out they were going to be parents. Although they weren't planning on having a child so soon (they hadn't even graduated yet), they were very excited to start their family together. They decided to find out the sex of the baby and were ecstatic when the doctor told them it was a girl. Initially, they were going to name her Chloe Elizabeth, but tragically Alec's mother Rowena passed away only a month before their little girl was born. Rowena's favorite flower was a rose, so Alec and Juliet decided to honor her by giving their daughter Rose as a middle name.
