Welcome Bryan, Sylvia, Isidoro, Fahd, Placido, and Nina!
Bryan Luke is a 16-year-old boy from Jamestown, New York. He has blond hair and blue eyes. He was taken away from his parents because they were abusing him. Bryan likes football, tennis, and talking about current events.
Sylvia Marion is Bryan's 10-year-old sister. She has blond hair and blue eyes. She likes singing, dancing, and shopping.
Isidoro Valeriano is a 14-year-old boy from Panama City, Panama. He has black hair and brown eyes. His parents are dead, and his older sister, Mercedes, couldn't support him. She would like to contact him and have him visit her. Isidoro, unfortunately, has problems with his temper and can give in to rage at times. This has resulted in him getting into fights. He likes music, sunbathing, and dancing. Isidoro speaks Spanish and some English.
Fahd is a 10-year-old boy from Mosul, Iraq. He has brown hair and light brown eyes. His parents were killed by terrorists. Fahd is afraid of Islamic extremists and feels they have oppressed his people. He likes talking, soccer, and reading. He speaks Kurdish and English.
Placido Domingo is a 6-year-old boy from Alajuela, Costa Rica. He has black hair and black eyes. His parents, as you might have guessed, are obsessed with the opera singer. They were neglectful of him, so he ended up here. Placido likes animals, soccer, and swimming.
Nina Sophie is an 8-year-old girl from Birmingham, Alabana. She has red hair and green eyes. Her parents couldn't financially support her. They would like to contact her. She likes writing, dolls, and animals.
All the kids are Catholic, except for Fahd, who is Muslim.
Please tell me how these kids are doing!

A year later:
Jethro and Lovisa are overjoyed to be grandparents, just as we are overjoyed to finally have children! These six are wonderful additions to our home.
Bryan and Isidore get along very well, especially for father and teenage son! There is always a lively discussion of the latest story in the news. Bryan has been accepted to a number of universities and will attend the University of Chicago next year, along with his girlfriend of ten months, Renee. We are so proud of all that he has accomplished in his senior year of high school!
Sylvia has settled in as well and is very happy to have a younger sister. She and Nina play together with dolls and clothes. Sylvia does well in school and is taking ballet and tap lessons, which she enjoys immensely. She and her best friends at school, Lydia and Gabby, are always talking on the phone. She is a very happy tween!
Isidoro, who's acquired the nickname "Junior," has had some problems settling in, especially with handling so many others in the house. However, he and Isidore have many conversations about school and other issues he has. Junior is in therapy twice a month to help him overcome his rage issues, which were initially a problem at school that led to a suspension. We homeschooled him for the first semester of this past year, and then reentered him into the public system. His English is improving and he has learned how to salsa dance, which the girls at school absolutely love. He has his eye on an exchange student (also a freshman) from Colombia named Esperanza. We hope that something will develop and he will feel more welcome here.
