Welcome Ema, Danil, and Kristina

You got three Latvian-American siblings! They come from Washington, D.C., and were given up for adoption after a divorce left both parents in financial straits.
Ema is 16. She is very tall and beautiful in a stereotypical Eastern European way, with very fair skin and platinum blond hair. She was a cheerleader at her old high school and is very athletic. Recently, she was caught with cocaine and has a juvenile record. She has had several months of therapy to treat depression and anxiety. She enjoys photography, modeling, listening to old rock 'n' roll, and reading magazines.
Danil is 13. He looks very much like his sister, with the exception of hair color; his is dark brown. He's very intelligent and excels in school, no matter how high a level of textbooks his teachers give him. His parents have requested that he be challenged at a higher level than that of his peers, since his tested IQ is 182. He has a bit of trouble making friends, although he gets along wonderfully with adults. He is a member of MENSA and enjoys participating in organization events. He also loves to play chess, keep up with current events, and play the piano.
Kristina is 9. She looks like a younger version of Ema. She adores animals and playing with friends. She has a very outgoing and bubbly personality, and teachers love to deal with her. As a child, she had to have her left leg amputated from the knee down and wears a titanium substitute (which will have to be adjusted as she grows). She has adjusted to this well and loves to play after-school sports with her friends. Her favorite things to do are to spend time with her friends, take care of animals, and to sing.

Thank you for these three kids. A year has gone by and all three of them are adjusting well. Ema is in therapy to help her depression and anxiety which is going well. She has also joined the school cheerleading team. Danil is so very smart and is the top of his class. He still has problems making friends but having so many brothers and sisters has made him more social. Kristina has recently started to take singing lessons and is on a basketball team.
Thank you for these three wonderful kids.
