Everyone fits in so well with our family, and Garnet is especially happy to have a little brother to lead around and some big sisters to cling on too! Not only that, but she has taken a special liking to Ziya - whenever he goes sunbathing she's always the first out there next to him to keep him company!
Alexandra (Andie) is a wonderful addition to our growing family - Andie reads to Garnet and Valentin (Val) every night, and sometimes Jolan (Joey) takes over when Andie is tired.
At first, there were some problems with Dylan, but he's doing better all the time. He likes Ziya very much and has sort of taken him under his wing. Dylan also is especially fond of Andie, and takes care of her. Sometimes she has flashbacks to the abuse she suffered with her biological parents, and Dylan is always there with her. Dylan also disclosed to Andie, and then to us, that he was physically abused by his uncle as a child - we think that probably accounts for some of his behavioral issues. Now that he's told us about it, he seems more calm and less angry.
Ziya is wonderful - he gets along well with everyone, even though he's quiet. He is very mild and it's nice to have him there to be a sort of peacemaker. There is a Mosque near us and we take him there to worship regularly.
Jolan has kept up a correspondence with her mother via email, and they are planning a visit soon!
Val is so sweet. He looks up to everyone, especially Garnet and Dylan.
