Welcome Mekhi and Jaycee!
Mekhi Luka is a 4 year old boy. He was living with his grandparents, but they became unable to take care of him and put him up for adoption, but they would still like to be able to see him sometimes. He likes toy trucks and cars and making ‘music’ with household objects. He looks forward to starting kindergarten next year.
Jaycee Nevayah is a 2 year old girl. Her parents had been physically and emotionally abusive to her and her older brother, and they were removed from their home. Her brother, Noah, is 6, and being adopted by a different family [note: Noah will be adopted by RubyMay92]. Jaycee cries and sleeps a lot more than the average child her age, and seems to be a bit behind in her development. She likes playing with dolls.
Please update us on these children!

A year has passed since Jaycee and Mekhi joined our family. It has been so wonderful and we would like to thank you so much for the children.
Mekhi when we first got him was a little shy, a little quiet, but we hoped he would open up more. About a month afterwards, I put some music on and Mekhi just loved it. He started to talk about the music and hasn't stopped. He just started to take piano lessons, we were a little worried they would be too hard on him (he's only five), but he comes home and wishes the lesson lasted longer. And he loves kindergarten, he's in the same class as Nico.
We kept Mekhi's name partly because we liked it, but also because we think he was already pretty used to it. We weren't particulary happy with Jaycee's name (especially Nevayah). But we did think "Jaycee" would be a cute nn, as long as she had a different full name, she is now Joy-Celina, and when she's older she can go by whatever she wants. Our Jaycee was very lively from the moment we got her; she could very happy and bubbly one moment and crying hysterics the other. We took her to the doctor, and she is a little behind developmently, but she's catching up fast (she's in therapy). She just started talking.
We love having four children. Mekhi, Nico and Mia are so close in age, which is wonderful, they play together a lot. Jaycee is the baby of our family, and everyone takes care of her. It is a joy having all of them. Thank you!
