---21Bet Cherry is the daughter of a witch, Blodeuwedd Tittensor, and a Muggle, Peter Cherry (who, on their honeymoon, was surprised, but not entirely appalled, that he'd married a witch). Bet (Betty as a child, and occasionally Bernie to her dad) was sent to Muggle primary school for the first ten years of her life, ever knowing that she would not attend with those children forever. She and her younger brother, Owen, would someday go to Hogwarts and learn the art of magic.Bet went, and was a Ravenclaw. Owen did not--but Peter steadfastly maintained that he was just as good a son as Bet was a daughter, Squib or not. (The Tittensor half of the family didn't agree, but they are another matter entirely.) And Bet agreed with her dad (and tried not to show off too much what she was learning when she came home for a holiday), and Blodeuwedd got over the disappointment of a Squib in the family. Reasonably quickly, too, considering that she came from a family which would much rather pretend a Squib child had died tragically than openly acknowledge a lack of magical ability.Bet's now twenty-one and living in a flat in Cambridge. She's got cherry-red hair (to match the name, she says) with one navy blue streak in her fringe, which sweeps across her hazel eyes. During the day, she works as an assistant in the office of Lysistrata Stout, who owns the local Quidditch team. At night, she and her band, The Merfreaks (she sings lead for them), play local shows, both Muggle and wizarding. Bet's easy with a quip but also a shouting match, and sometimes comes into work more tired (read: hung over) than she should. In general, B++ on reliability, A++ on good-time-ability.Array
