Sebastian and Emma decided to adopt a teenage mother (15) with a eight months old son, Jayden Alexei.
Anca started voluteering at a homeless shelter about a year ago, and met a girl named Jess who stayed there often. She noticed Jess because she was about the same age, and because of the baby boy that she had. They began talking and Jess's story really touched Anca, and when Anca told us, it touched us too.
Jess got pregnant when she was 13 years old. The father of the baby was a much older man who had told Jess everything she'd ever wanted to hear to get her into bed... but when he found out she was pregnant, he didn't want to know and denied the relationship ever happened. Her parents kicked her out and she'd been on the streets ever since.
Anca invited her around a few times and we all got to know her, and her beautiful little boy Jayden. Now that Del, Mattie, Claude, Felix & Rory have all moved out, the house seems very empty so Jess came to live with us, and we've just formalised the arrangement by adopting her. We're very pleased that Jess and Jayden have come into our lives.
In other exciting news, Del married her boyfriend Lochie about a year ago and they've just welcomed a gorgeous baby boy, Tyler!
