A woman recently contacted my father claiming to be his 20 year old daughter. At first, he just blew her off and said she had the wrong guy, but then she told him that her mother's name was Christina Martin. That stopped him cold. He sat our whole family down and confessed to having an affair 21 years ago with a co-worker. It had only gone on for a few months before she broke it off and moved away. He never knew she had gotten pregnant. We were all outraged, especially my mother. They have been married for 35 years! She had no idea he'd ever been unfaithful. My dad apologized and begged us to forgive him. He'd made a mistake during a weak point in their marriage, and he'd never regretted anything more in his life. After some time, we've come to forgive him. My brothers and I, along with our dad, decided to meet this unknown member of our family. Her name is Emily Ann Martin, she's 20, and she looks just like my dad. She is sweet and funny, and I've been talking to her almost daily since we met. I love my new little sister! We really connected, and we all agree that this was just a blessing in disguise.
