The years fly by in this family. Emily and Micah's children are growing up so fast! Their eldest, Victoria, is preparing to go away to college. She's planning to study internationally, at London University and she'll be able to stay with Aunt Siran and Uncle Peter while she's there. Bella is upset about her sister leaving the country, but is a bit pre-occupied with her new favorite activity-horseback riding. Lachlan is jealous that Victoria gets to go somewhere so close to his own home country, but Micah has promised that they will take a family vacation to England this summer so that they can visit Siran and Peter's family and make a trip over to Scotland as well.
Siran and Peter's family is getting along well too. Their daughter Sierra is in third grade now, and next year they are planning to send her to a boarding school in France for the year. Sierra is terribly excited about the prospect of spending a year in a foreign country and she absolutely adores France. Peter and his family recently adopted a little boy, Kyle Joseph Ravensford Jr.. Kyle Ravensford Sr. was Peter's best friend and a fellow business associate. His wife died while giving birth to Kyle, and Kyle Sr. took great pride in raising his son. Unfortunately, one of the cases he had prosecuted several years ago was that of a murder case and trial. Kyle Sr. had gotten the defendant a life sentence in jail, but the criminal escaped. Two months after his escape, the criminal mugged Kyle Sr. as he walked home from work late one night. Kyle Sr.'s injuries resulted in death before he could reach a hospital. His lone surviving relative, son Kyle, was sleeping and did not know that his father had been killed until the next morning. Because Peter and Kyle Sr. had promised each other a long time ago that they would care for the other's family if anything should happen, Siran and Peter decided to legally adopt Kyle Jr.
Rachel and Alan were married for two years, but they couldn't conceive a child. They moved to California a year and a half ago, and Alan took over his father's practice. Because Alan is a physician, he has access to a lot of medical professionals that were able to advise him about why he and Rachel were having trouble having a baby. After researching their options, they decided to try in vitro fertilization. Before the IV process, they also began the adoption process because they would like to adopt a child at some point in the future, especially if the IV didn't work out. Turns out, they needn't have worried. Seven and a half months later, Rachel gave birth to triplets, identical twins Sophie and Sarie, and their brother, Matty. The triplets were in the hospital for four months, until they were healthy and of a good weight to go home. Alan and Rachel wer ecstatic to finally have some babies in the house! The triplets are one now and are wreaking havoc in the house--all three are very active, quite demanding, but very loveable.
Izzy settled down last year and married Noah Robert Conner, a long-time friend of hers from the gymnastics competing circuit. Izzy, now nearing thirty, competed in her last Olympics two years ago, then decided to retire. It was then that she began seriously dating Noah, and before long, the two had wedding plans. They've been married for five months now and Izzy is enjoying married life more than she thought she ever would. She and Noah have opened up their own gymnastics training center for disadvantaged boys and girls who show real promise but cannot afford to take lessons. Izzy and Noah have thought about starting a family, but want to wait a few more years.
Jonny is finally in college. After the extra year of touring with his band, he decided to go to school and major in Biology and Mass Communications. Three of his fellow band members joined him in school. They got a new bassist and continued playing, but rather sparingly. Jonny is now in his sophomore year of college and is immensely enjoying every second of it.
Elijah and Bobby are also in their sophomore years of college. Elijah is getting a degree in Philosophy and minoring in Journalism. He is also still playing soccer. Bobby is attending seminary, and within a few years, hopes to be a pastor somewhere.
