I don't mind them on other boards but I don't play them here because the format is not conducive to them.

Completely agree, as stated in the Lounge.

A NOTICE...This is now taking up space her. If I had thought a very SIMPLE request had done this, causing a whole thread, I wouldn't have put awareness to it.Sorry for trying to make a valid point, for us who's brains closes down, if were being stressed out. In every degree.I'm now done here.

I think it's pretty simple....if you don't like a particular game...just don't play it.
vote up1
No, it's not as simple as that. It messes up the entire board.

Was that really necessary...no I don't read every response here I was stating my opinion

I don't see what the big deal isIs it really that necessary to start two different debates on two different boards about a game? Yes, there are a lot of elimination games. What's wrong with that? If you want more of a variety, post more of a variety. I don't understand how something so trivial can make such a fuss. Emily

The big deal is, that some people brains get fried (mine for sure), if they have to overlook hard stuff. And have to do it in a fast pace at the same time. The curse of having ADHD to me, at least.I can handle a long list of names, IF they are done in the horisontal way. I like this game, I need it to be simple to overlook, having the whole list and the prevoius eliminated names, att placed in one easy overlooking, so I can keep playing it. Not to feel that I'm chasen away, which I feel if the lists are hard to overlook.

Everyone has a right to have their say on these boards, noone is making a fuss, Charlie blue and others have brought up some valid points
To play new games or improve the ones we have discussion is sometimes needed
And since many on this board dont bother to go to the lounge I feel Charlie Blue's bringing this boards attention to the other debate was perfectly legitA childs smile is worth more to me than Gold

I think part of the problem is that many Elimination games are too long people post lists of thirty or so names and say eliminate one or two, the game then takes ages to be played and takes up a lot of room on the board
Maybe if we could either limit the lists to 10 / 15 or make it a rule that everyone can take four or five away at a time it might work out better
I personally am beginning to find them boring especially the ones which are just long lists of names, the make a family ones are slightly more interesting
Its all very well to say if you dont like them dont play them, but as more people get bored with them the games end up unfinished
Maybe someone can come up with more variations on the game or we can hold a compertition to make up new games

I can get bored with them...If they're too long, but I generally likes playing them.I agree with you on the first you say.

Not to start a fight or anything but I think that as much as it is your right not to like the game, it is as much my right to love them. Where are the rules that say I cant make eliminations because others dont like them. I dont particuraly like to talk about religion but we seem to do that an awful lot here too. If we want to paly elimination than we can. Nobody is making anyone else play them. And if people think that there are too many elim around then why dont they start making other games because it seem to me (and I wonder if anyone else noticed) that all of the games are played by different people but the same three or four people always make most of them. So if you dont like elim, make another game. But I dont think it is anyone right to tell me that I cant make/play them because they dont like them.Nikki :)Proud Mama! See My Profile!

That's not what I'm saying...I'm just saying that you should make it possible for EVERYBODY to play, if you make it easier on us all.I can easier overlook a long elimination list, if they're posted as a list from a CAF, as I pointed out to Kristen in my response to her. Go read more in that response.I'm merely trying to make you understand, why it has to be a bit easier. It's not funny feelin as if your brain gets fried, if you get very stressed out, over things you can't easily overlook.

how much easier can they be?to me they are very simple, and if it bothers you how they are layed out then do not play then.
vote up1
Well they're not simple to me...Not those with over 20 names, or so, on a list done verticaly.

None of that is important at all, if you don't like the elimination games then don't play them. This belongs on the lounge board, if I wanted to read it I would have visited the lounge board. And most of those people said that they liked the elimination games.
P.S. This isn't meant to anger you in any way, the last think I want to do is start some fight over a website.♥ Kristen ♥~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I like them and I know most said they like them too. But...A lot of posters here, do not visit all of the boards, and therefore not The Lounge, and couldn't see this thread I posted a link to.I'm merely pointing out AN IMPORTANT matter, which is important to people like me, who has a problem with very long Elimination lists, and has to maybe eliminate five names at a time, in a very fast pace. And Sometimes has trouble remembering all five names at a time. Not good for an ADHD brain, who tend to collapse if it feel stressed. At least mine do. Can't speak for other, of course. So if people could place the list in an horisontal line, as in CAF's I much much prefer due to the horisontal line, it'll be much more easy on EVERYBODY here. I do like the Elimination games, and wish I could overcome more of them, but as I said above I'm much more at peace with the CAF's, due to the horisontal lists. Please have in mind, that someone get stressed more easy than others.End!

I agree Horizontal lines might make it easier, especially in the case of very long listsA childs smile is worth more to me than Gold

I also agree. The way it is now is very annoying and the reason I haven't been here lately.
