The Thoresen family is quickly growing and the kids are all growing up so fast! Matt and Faith are enjoying their roles as grandparents, and are looking forward to when the twins are finished with high school so that they can focus completely on being grandparents.
Emily and Micah never guessed that they would have seven children--both were shooting for three or four. Yet, the kids keep coming. Emily enjoys being a stay-at-home mother, and she also has a thriving ebay business because all the kids are still growing rapidly and she has lots of clothes and toys to auction off. Micah has remained with the same computer networking company for almost 10 years now. He loves his work and couldn't be happier. Victoria is now a teenager. She has discovered a love for dance and is very good at both ballet and tap. She wants to try out Irish dance at some point in time. Her younger sister, Bella, is 10. Bella is quieter than her older sister and enjoys reading and writing--especially science fiction and fantasy type books. Lachlan is nine. He retained a bit of a Scottish accent, but fits in very well with the rest of the family. Lachlan is very proud of his heritage and engages in many traditional Scottish activities, including learning how to play the bagpipes. Tommy and Eddy are eight. They are nearly inseperable. Tommy likes playing the piano and the drums as well as swimming. Eddy plays the piano, the guitar, and the violin and he also enjoys swimming. Maddie is three. Like her older siblings, she loves music and has already started banging around on the piano and seems to enjoy playing her kiddie-sized xylophone. The newest member of the Bonner family is Mary Faith. Mary is an adorable infant and is much adored by her older siblings.
Siran and Peter have been enjoying life as well. She and Peter live in England, where Peter works as a lawyer and Siran has become his assistant. They love taking their children into Europe on excursions and they really want their children to grow up having a cosmopolitan view of life. Their daugher, Sierra is already four! And, thanks to her parents' proficiency in several languages, speaks a unique combination of English, Armenian, French, Spanish, and German. Siran and Peter also have a son, Paul Bedros. In Armenian, Bedros is a form of Peter, and Siran thought that using that name would be appropriate. Paul is just over a year old, but is much more active than his sister and prone to getting into trouble. He is also beginning to speak--mostly in Armenian and French.
Rachel has been working in the pediatric ICU of a local hospital for three years now. She is still living at home with Matt and Faith, but has saved up enough now to be able to rent her own apartment and she plans to move out within the month. Rachel really enjoys her work and being with children all day keeps her young at heart and always creative.
Izzy is working on qualifying for her third Olympics. Last year she participated in her second Olympics and loved it! Izzy managed to win two individual medals (floor and bars) and helped the US team bring home the team gold medal. Izzy would love to be in one final Olympics, then intends to find a man and settle down, perhaps opening her own gymnastics school or getting involved in some other way with gymnastics.
Jonny is in his sophomore year of college. Well, he would be if he wasn't touring with his band all the time. When he was eighteen, Jonny and his band signed a record/touring contract for three years and have been cranking out the songs and touring the United States ever since. Next year, the contract is set to be reviewed. Jonny would love to renew it, but also wants to go to college and study biology. He would actually like to be a veterinarian. We still aren't sure what to think of that goal--especially because Jonny is not fond of some animals, such as gerbils and birds, and is allergic to others, like cats.
Elijah and Bobby are now in high school. They are having a great time. Both boys play on the JV soccer team and are hoping to move up to the Varsity squad next year. Elijah is still very involved with people and is on the debate team, the yearbook committee, and plays a role in his church's youth group. Bobby is more reserved and spends a lot of time reading, but all that reading has made him wise for his age. He is often sought out as an advisor by both his twin brother and his peers. Bobby enjoys helping people and is thinking about going to seminary school.
