Daniel and Sofie adopted Isabella from Sofie's little sister, Elaina, who is only 16. Elaina decided to give the baby up for adoption but really wanted to see her baby girl grow up. Sofie offered to adopt the baby so that Elaina could be close to her and see her grow up. Daniel agreed it was a good idea. Daniel and Sofie picked the name Isabella and Elaina picked the name Jasmine.
