Emily and Micah met at church and started dating three years ago, when Emily was just seventeen. Within a year, they were planning on getting married. Six months after Micah finished college and found a job with a computer networking company, they got married. Now, 1 1/2 years later, they have just welcomed beautiful twin boys into the family! Emily and Micah decided to name them after Emily's father, Thomas Edward Quinn and Micah declared that, since his middle name sounds almost like a last name, that his son's middle names will sound like that too. Micah's job took them to Nevada, far from the rest of the family in Pennsylvania, but the little family seems quite content there. Because she knew her future with Micah was secure, Emily decided not to go to college, but did work in a consignment shop for a few years to save up some money.
Meanwhile, the other Thoresen girls and boys have been busy. Siran is in her freshman year of college. She decided to wait a year after high school and worked two jobs--one at a bakery and the other as an usher for the local theater. Now, she is attending college in Ohio with the intention of becoming an international businesswoman. Rachel is a junior in high school. She is a hardworking girl who is exceptional in everything she does. Rachel is captain of the girls swim team at school and also runs track and field distance events as well as volunteering twice a week with a therapeutic horseback riding program in the area. Izzy is a sophomore in high school. She is also pretty outgoing and athletic. She does gymnastics and is really serious about competing.
Jonny is in sixth grade. He often wishes that he had an older brother, since he's got all those older sisters and he was excited with Micah Bonner came along. Jonny plays soccer and is really into music. He's been begging Faith to let him try the drums, but Faith doesn't want all that noise in the house. Elijah and Bobby are in second grade. They are both happy and have fun with life. They like to play pranks on the neighborhood girls, help Jonny school projects, or go swimming in the backyard pool. The twins are identical, but Elijah tends more toward the artistic creative side and Bobby is more logical and academic.
