Veda Darshana Adams- 24
Veda means "Knowledge", Darshana means "seeing, understanding", and the last name Adams comes from "Adam" which means "man." So, putting them together, Her name means, knowledge, and understanding of all man (human kind).
Veda is an Omnilinguist, meaning she can understand and speak any and all Human languages. Her childhood was not pleasant. She did not have the power to control her Onmilinguism, so she often spoke in different languages quite randomly and frequently. Her parents realized her ability when she was quite young, and were, well "freaked out." They thought she was going insane, or speaking in tongues. When she was about 8 years old, they placed her into a mental hospital. In the hospital, she had very a very difficult time trying to convince the doctors that she was not insane, and that her bouts of speaking in foreign languages were not her having "spells" or "seizures." In the three years she spent there, she learned to control her language. Downtrodden, she actually stopped using her power, for fear of her parents or someone thinking she was insane again.
As soon as she graduated from high school, she left her parents. She decided that she wanted to use her powers fully, and make a difference in the world. After traveling, literally, all around the world, meeting people from all different countries, cultures and languages, she settled down and began to work with the United Nations, as an Interpreter of course. Although this job is exciting, she hopes to one day, do something a little more...unconventional...with her powers!
Veda would also like to find another extraordinary person to spend her life with.

I knew this was a good power. That's a great back story. Veda's DH has the power to control time.
