a)How did your couple react at the baby’s sex? It truly didn't matter to John and I if we had a son or daughter. All we wanted was a happy, healthy baby, and that's exactly what we got with our perfect little miracle, John. When he came into the world, I could immediately see his Daddy's face light up as it was announced that we had a boy, and then when he held him for the first time - there was something so magical about that moment. Now Daddy is eagerly looking forward to the day that his little boy can join him for a game of catch, although for the moment, he is also very content to just spend hours holding him.
b)How did you chose your baby’s name? We had a number of names chosen for both a boy and a girl. If it was a boy, though, my top pick was John, for his father. Up in the air was the middle name, and really, we wanted to see what name on our list of top favorites suited him best before solidifying any final choice. When I saw our son for the first time, particularly when Daddy held him for the first time, there was no doubt that he was his father's son - the spitting image of John, and so, I knew he'd be a John, too.
