DH: Ryan Blake (journalist)(25)
DW: Julie Alexandra (Rollins) (second grade teacher)(24)
Ethnical Background: American
(plus: You can include your parents {your couple’s parents} because with parents names you can call your future babies with them names)
Ryan's Family: Parents Joel and Jenny Anne; Siblings Kevin (married w/son), Kyle (married), and Eliza.
Julie's Family: Parents Thomas and Adelaide; Siblings Carrie (Caroline), Junie (June), and Sarie (Sarah).
Story question for this round:
How your couples meet?
How did your families react at your decision to get married?
What *kind* of person your couple is?
Question no2
shield
Ryan and Julie met in college. Although their classes were very different, they had several mutual friends. They met their sophmore year at a dance. Neither one of them was dancing or partying and they just kind of ran into each other. After that, they found that they had similiar interests in reading, hiking, and horseback riding. Ryan and Julie began dating at the end of their sophmore year and were married 2 years after they graduated. They are quickly approaching their first wedding anniversary. Ryan and Julie decided to tell their families about their engagement together. Ryan's parents have two sons older than him who are married, so they weren't too surprised when he and Julie announced their engagement. Julie's parents were very excited because she is the eldest of four children and the first to get married. Ryan and Julie had been dating for awhile, so their engagement and marriage came as no surprise.
Julie is currently working in a local elementary school as a second grade teacher. She loves her twenty-one students and enjoys teaching them. Ryan recently accepted a position as a journalist for the Chicago Tribune. He isn't too high up on the totem pole just yet, but he's hoping to work his way into a better position. For now, Ryan travels around on assignment and has upcoming stories to cover in various places around the country.
When asked about Julie's personality, Ryan answered, "Julie is tenderhearted and really has a soft spot for kids. She is usually pretty quiet, but when you get to know her, she's a whole lot of fun and she loves horses-which is an added bonus about her. Julie doesn't like confrontations and she is really smart about ways to come up with ways to get around conflict."
When asked about Ryan's personality, Julie answered, "Ryan is a lot of fun. He is always on the go and he loves to be outside or doing things. He is good with his words and likes to interact and talk to people. Ryan's a good husband--really conscious or what I want and need and always looking out for my welfare."
