Your child or children (up to three!) will come from some point between 1900 and 1950; sorry, you may not choose specific dates of origin at this time.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Johnson,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt. We believe they will be ideal additions to your family, and that Bianca, Eden, Greta, and Gabe will adore their new siblings!
Standing in the back is Orrin Duke Mooney, age 4; before him are his one year old twin brothers, Lawton Fate and Ennis Bee. The Mooney boys hail from 1901 and were recently orphaned after their widowed mother was accidentally trampled by a horse.
Orrin Mooney is a boy who thinks long and hard before he speaks; when he does open his mouth, he's often far more sensible than it seems a four year old boy ought to be. He loves birds and going for walks. His little brothers are equally curious little fellows who love to babble on in their elder brother's silence. They're jut beginning to hit on some words now, but they'll insert strings of nonsense in between the usual "Mama" and "dog" and so forth. All three boys seem to be quite bright, though it must be noted that Orrin's right hand has a nasty burn scar from an accident early in his life.
Because the Mooney boys have no one else to take them in, it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible. Thank you for your generous offer to consider taking them in. All of our potential adoptees understand that they may be requested to go by new names in their new lives and are not averse to the possibility, though we at the Time Travel Adoption Agency recommend that a new parent or parents keep at least some vestiges of their old names.
Sincerely yours,
Arraya Light
P.S. After having the boys a few months, should you indeed confirm your adoption, we would be delighted to receive a letter in return; it is important for us to follow up on our charges and see if the children are adjusting to their vastly different ways of life.

Dear Arraya Light,
Thank you so much for the Mooney boys. They have been such a light in our lives! It has been three years since their adoption. We decided to keep all of their names. We weren't fond of all them (except Lawton) but we couldn't bring ourselves to change their names...after all, a name is so precious. Orrin is still the shy, reserved boy he was three years ago. He does not have many friends because of this, but he does have one best friend named Luke Penningfield. Those two are inseparable! Orrin is also very smart. He is at the top of every class and he just won the class spelling bee. We are so proud of him. He is also taking piano lessons and he is like a child prodigy! We cannot wait to see where he'll be in the next three years.
Lawton and Ennis have grown to be complete opposites! They are now four years old. Lawton has become the more dominant twin, so Ennis has become more reserved like his older brother Orrin. Lawton loves attention and he usually gets it by singing or dancing around the house. He adores his big sister Eden and follows her around like he's her shadow. Ennis on the other hand adores his older brother Gabe. And we just got a black cocker spaniel puppy which has become Ennis' best friend. He is such a caring and compassionate little kid. He can sense when someone isn't their normal self.
As far as our other children, they absolutely love the Mooney boys! Bianca is 9 years old already! She has been taking dance classes the last three years and had her first crush on Patrick Giles. Eden is 7. She struggles a bit with school, but Orrin is always there to help her understand the work. It's amazing the bond the two of them have. Greta and Gabe are probably the most lively out of our group of children. They are always getting into mischief and have that devilish smile about them. Just the other day, Gabe brought a snake in from outside and put it under the couch! Bianca was sitting there reading a book later in the day when it came out and she about had a heart attack!
The biggest news in our family is that we have another addition...well, another three. I have just birthed triplets! I have no clue how we're going to handle raising 10 kids under the age of 9...LORD help us! However the triplets names are Madison Faye "Maddie", Micah Thomas, and Molly Mae.
Thanks again,
Mr. & Mrs. Johnson and kids

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Dodson,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt. While they may be rather younger than Kristyn and Lewis, we believe that they will make an excellent addition to your family.
These beautiful newborns come straight from 1931 to your family. The Beatty triplets are, from left to right, Evelyn Joy Beatty, Calvin Stanley Beatty, and Georgia Avis Beatty. Their parents, already the proud caregivers of seven lovely children, recognized that in their home time, the tiny babies would not survive. They have given their children over to capable parents of the future with hopes that modern medicine will give the triplets a true chance at life.
Because of their health issues, which have been successfully treated, it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible. Thank you for your generous offer to consider taking them in. All of our potential adoptees understand that they may be requested to go by new names in their new lives and are not averse to the possibility, though we at the Time Travel Adoption Agency recommend that a new parent or parents keep at least some vestiges of their old names.

The triplets are now a year old and doing wonderfully. Little Georgia (Gigi) had to go to the hospital when she was 6 months old because of heart complications, but they did a minor surgery and she is now just as lively as Evie and Cal. We've told that the girls are identical twins, and while they look exactly the same, we can already tell their different personalities. Cal is the biggest of the group and started walking at 11 months, the girls are just now starting to stand up.
Kristyn and Lewis love taking care of their baby siblings, but I think Lewis can't wait until Cal is a little older so they can play soccer together. The triplets are definitely a joy for our family.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Misra,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt. We believe that they will be good sisters to Mariam.
Hailing from 1941 are nine year old twins, Margery Claire and Amanda Faye Guy. Called Margie and Mandie by most, they are as different in personality as they are similar in appearance. Margery, on the left, is shy and a bit clumsy; she loves cats and hopes someday to have a pet of her own. Mandie, on the right, is more outgoing but tends to distrust people on first sight; it sometimes takes work to get past her defenses, but conversations about horses often work. Both girls love to read and adore the rare treat of ice cream sundaes.
The Guy twins' parents died recently in the London Blitz, and it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible. Thank you for your generous offer to consider taking them in. Dear Ms. Light,
Margie and Mandie have fit in wonderfully - though at first it must have been strange seeing London again in this new time without terror. Mariam at first was a bit wary of the girls, but now she's been playing with them and they gave her the affectionate nickname Mamie, my husband and I are glad our three little M's have been getting along great despite differences. Their favourite time of day is when we all read together, they really love books! Mandie has also taken a great interest in the Natural History museum and has been nagging to go there every weekend, and when she wants something she really goes for it! But little Margie is a lot quieter (Mamie says thank goodness - she couldn't have two loud Mandie's in the house!) and spends a lot of time playing with her new tabby cat Lucy.
Thank you so much for sending us these wonderful little girls! I'm sure they're happy here and I hope they truly feel part of our family. I can scarcely imagine the house without them anymore. They are both ten next week and we plan to have a picnic in the park with some local children and schoolfriends, they seem really excited about the whole thing, and we've hired a pony, not quite a horse but Mandie won't stop bragging about how she'll ride one on her big day. Thank you again!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Blumenthal,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We believe we have found three children who will make wonderful additions to your little family.
What a card Billy Clarence O'Malley is! From 1927, here he is "shooting the moon" with a knowing look on his face. He's eight years old and quite the comedian--once you get him going, he goes for hours. With quick wits and a taste for baseball, Billy is an active little boy who has been without a mom and dad ever since he can remember.
From 1933, Frances Shirley Reeves is an animal lover through and through. Frannie, as she's often called, is six years old and adores the pets that ran around on her family's farm. She's an adventurous young girl who thinks nothing of getting muddy or sunburned. The Dust Bowl has taken its toll on her family, however, and though her parents and much older brothers (Tommy is twenty, while Johnny is seventeen) are still alive, they believe that giving Frannie up to a home that can better provide for her will be doing her the best favour they ever could.
Finally, hailing from 1941 is three year old Alford Noble Skinner. Alford is a sweet little boy with a ready smile and a love of playing hide and go seek. His mother was, shamefully enough, unwed, and he has never had a true family of his own. After several years of living with relatives, it has been decided that Alford needs his very own mother and father.
It is important that we are able to fit these children with a new parent or parents as soon as possible. Thank you for your generous offer to consider taking them in. Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt. We believe that they will be good additions to your family and good siblings to Christabel and Polly.
The Barta children, from left to right, are: Violet Amelia, age 9; Emil Richard, age 7; and Helen Louise, age 4. They hail from the year 1913. Violet is as shy as her namesake, but just as sweet. She is nearly deaf and due to the quality of the school she and her brother attended, she has not had enough individual attention to be caught up with other girls her age. However, you will find that she is a quick study and very perceptive. Her brother, Emil, is quite protective of her and very much considers himself the man of the family. He loves playing stickball, but he does so while keeping an eye out on his sisters. And little Helen cannot wait to go to school. She loves to look at picture books on the rare opportunities that she has the chance; otherwise, she is fond of playing on the steps of their building.
The Barta children are without a home after their parents were killed in separate factory accidents. For this reason, it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible.
P.S. After having the children a few months, should you indeed confirm your adoption, we would be delighted to receive a letter in return; it is important for us to follow up on our charges and see if the children are adjusting to their vastly different ways of life.

Dear Arraya Light,
Thank you so much for the Barta children. We have altered their names to Emmett Bartholomew (to honor his previous surname, Barta), and Helena Margaret; we have chosen to keep Violet's name the same.
It has been one year since the adoption. Helena is now in school and has adjusted beautifully. She looks forward to kindergarten every day and has made several new friends! Emmett, now in the third grade, is also doing well. His favorite subject is science and he loves explaining how things work to us. Violet has really grown since we adopted her. While at first, she was extremely shy and hesitant, since we enrolled her in a school for the deaf, she has really come out of her shell. Now, there's always a smile on her face. She's in fifth grade now, and has shown quite a talent for art. Hopefully by next year she'll be able to attend public school.
Christabel (now 4) and Polly (now 1) are delighted with their new siblings. Christabel especially looks up to Helena. It's very sweet. Violet and Emmett dote on the younger children, and are teaching Polly how to talk, use silverware, use the potty, etc.
And now there's a new surprise! In three months, Emmett will have a new baby brother to play with. He is extremely excited, as are the other children. Polly is looking forward to not being the youngest anymore. We gave Violet and Emmett the task of choosing a name off a list and they chose Sebastian George.
Thank you, Time Travel Adoption Agency, for our new children!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Halloway,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt.
Hailing from 1915, we have the Kerr girls for you. The eldest at eleven is Marguerite Aline Kerr, generally called Daisy; she is seated, Queen of the May, in the center. Her younger sisters are the two girls closest to her. To the left of Daisy is Genevieve Clara Kerr, age five, generally called Vivi. And to the right of Daisy is Theodora Mattie Kerr, age three, generally called Theda.
Daisy is a motherly girl who loves her younger sisters dearly. She is considered something of an odd duck at school and loves to play imaginative games. Vivi is enraptured with her elder sister and tags along after her constantly; she loves to have play tea parties with her dolls and teddy bear. Theda is small but never forgotten! Her favourite games are those which allow her to pretend to be a princess; princesses also tend to figure prominently in her favourite fairy tales.
The Kerr girls were raised by their grandmother for the first few years of their lives, but she has passed away, and so it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible. Thank you for your generous offer to consider taking them in. All of our potential adoptees understand that they may be requested to go by new names in their new lives and are not averse to the possibility, though we at the Time Travel Adoption Agency recommend that a new parent or parents keep at least some vestiges of their old names.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Houge,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt.
Hailing from 1947, we have the Hickman children. There are, as you see, four children pictured. On the far left is Georgeann Nadine Hickman, age 4. Seated in the chair is Maribeth Lenore Hickman, five months. In front of Maribeth is Luella Pauline Hickman, one and a half years, and standing to the right is Maybelle Susan Hickman, almost three.
You have been extended the opportunity to adopt Maybelle, Luella, and Maribeth. Georgeann has already been promised to another family. Maybelle is a curious little girl who enjoys playing in the garden. Luella tends to be serene and unflappable; you'll win her heart after just one picture book. And Maribeth is on occasion a bit colicky but is mostly a sweetheart with a gap-toothed grin. All three are sweet little girls who will make wonderful additions to your family.
The Hickman girls' parents died recently in a car accident, and it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible. Thank you for your generous offer to consider taking them in. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Lovell,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt. They will be, we hope, an ideal addition to the family you have already in Nora, Tilly, and Eva.
These are the Hjelmer girls; Rosalie Ruth, 6, is standing, and Johanna Gertrude, 3, is seated. Rosalie is a cautious, fretful girl who tends to worry but has a beautiful, sunny smile when thinking about happy things. She has not yet started school but looks forward to doing so. Johanna, on the other hand, takes life blissfully and almost always has a grin to share--though when she doesn't, it's because her temper is showing!
The Hjelmer girls' parents died recently of influenza, and so it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible. Thank you for your generous offer to consider taking them in. All of our potential adoptees understand that they may be requested to go by new names in their new lives and are not averse to the possibility, though we at the Time Travel Adoption Agency recommend that a new parent or parents keep at least some vestiges of their old names.

Dear Arraya Light,
I'd like to thank you most sincerely on behalf of my family (the Lovells) for bringing Rose and Annie into our life. We decided to keep their given names (they're such beautiful classics - why change them?) but like our biological girls they've instantly developed new nick names.
Rose is really coming out of her shell. She's really loving having so many little sisters and is great with them all. She also loves having Nora as a big sister and they've become firm friends. You were absolutely right about her smile - it barely ever leaves her face now and it is truly beautiful.
Annie is such a lively little girl. She really reminds me of myself (whereas all the others are quiet and calm like Joshua). She's infuriatingly stubborn and extremely strong-headed. She's only just turned four years old and yet I have an immense respect for the way she sticks up for what she believes in (she was adamant in telling a little boy at her nursery school that Santa does exist! )
Rose and Annie have completed our family. We chose to adopt because we felt we could share our love with children less fortunate than our own but we have no idea just how much love we would receive from those children. They're truly beautiful and I couldn't love them anymore than I do.
Again, all our sincerest thanks,
Millie, Joshua and the girls xxx

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Dodsworth,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt. It is our opinion that they will be wonderful additions to your family and good siblings to Freya and Iris.
This beautiful little girl is Maria Nettie Accosi, age eight, hailing from 1910. The beloved only child of her parents, Maria is alone in the world due to a fire in her family's apartment. She doesn't like school much, because she is deaf in one ear and finds it hard to hear and thus learn. She does, however, enjoy jumping rope and playing with dolls, and will likely be a much better student when she's in an environment which will allow her to succeed.
These two children are siblings Tom Albert Dillard (standing), age 4, and Jessie Katherine Dillard (held), age 1.5, pictured with their mother and Aunt Beulah. Tom and Jessie's father died just a year ago; then, in the summer of 1924, their mother and aunt were murdered, leaving them without home or guardian. They are both good children; Tom is generally well-mannered for a little boy of his age, and Jessie doesn't always wear such a funny facial expression.
For reasons outlined above, it is important that we are able to fit these children with a new parent or parents as soon as possible. Thank you for your generous offer to consider taking them in. All of our potential adoptees understand that they may be requested to go by new names in their new lives and are not averse to the possibility, though we at the Time Travel Adoption Agency recommend that a new parent or parents keep at least some vestiges of their old names.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Sterling,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt and hope that they will be a strong addition to your charming little family.
Of all things, we were lucky enough to find you twin girls to match your twin boys! Hailing from 1945, Marilyn Brenda and Sylvia Sherry Morris are four year old twins. Their father, a GI, died tragically in the final days of the war, and their dear mother passed away of a broken heart soon after. Little Marilyn and Sylvia were left all alone in the world--until you and your husband came along, that is.
You will find, we believe, the twins to be a charming pair of girls. Sylvia, on the right in the photograph, tends to be the leader of the two; she loves to play outside and be read to, and on occasion (as here) makes some wonderfully stormy faces. Marilyn will follow her just-barely-older sister wherever she goes; she enjoys splashing around in the bath and doing grown up things like going to the grocery store.
Because the Morris twins have no other family who can take them in, it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible.
P.S. After having the girls a few months, should you indeed confirm your adoption, we would be delighted to receive a letter in return; it is important for us to follow up on our charges and see if the children are adjusting to their vastly different ways of life.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. McCrae,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt, with hopes that they will get along beautifully with Oliver, Felix, and Victor.
Hailing from 1942 are the Foster sisters: Bettye Willa, 13, Virgie Maude, 10, and Patty Cora, 8. They are the sum total of their family; there was once another child, a baby boy called Mike, but he died with their parents of a terrible flu. The girls were spared, and now they wish to be adopted.
All three are very kind, good girls, and we believe that, though they are older than your three, they will provide companionship, guidance (and perhaps babysitting!) that will be invaluable to your family. Bettye, the furthest left in the photo, is a responsible young lady who has been taking care of her two younger sisters for three months now, since their parents and small brother died. She loves school and cooking, though she looks forward to the day that she can focus more on the former than the latter. Virgie, in the center, is a wisp of a girl who enjoys knitting and other handicrafts and would love to learn to embroider. She is quiet but sweet. And Patty on the end, is a talkative, dynamic spitfire of a girl who loves just about everything from climbing trees to the knitting bees she and her sisters hold on slow afternoons. Patty's wild imagination is charming, though she does on occasion have frightening nightmares.
In light of the fact that the girls have been taking care of themselves for some time now, it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible. Thank you for your generous offer to consider taking them in. All of our potential adoptees understand that they may be requested to go by new names in their new lives and are not averse to the possibility, though we at the Time Travel Adoption Agency recommend that a new parent or parents keep at least some vestiges of their old names.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Norwood,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We believe that we have found a brother and sister who would be pleased to grow up with little Elle and Henry!
Frederick Lee and Dorothy Ida Linwood are five month old twins who hail from 1921. Affectionately called Freddy and Dottie by their late parents, the twins show all signs of being perfectly healthy, intelligent babies. Freddy, on the left, tends to be the more quiet of the two; he is generally a smiley, happy little boy. Dottie, on the right, is more dramatic, but though she howls sometimes, she has a beautiful way of burbling nonsense syllables when she's pleased!
The Linwood children's parents died recently in a car accident, and it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible.

Dear Ms. Mercy,
Thank you for your interest in the Time Travel Adoption Agency. We have been lucky enough to find siblings for you to adopt.
As you can see, there are three girls here, hailing from 1909. They are the Bell sisters. Constance Winifred, on the far right, is nine; Celia Marguerite, on the left, is seven; and Alice Mildred, in the center, is five.
You have been chosen to adopt Celia and Alice Bell, if you so choose. (Constance has already been promised to another family.) Celia is a quiet, bright young girl with high marks in school and a penchant for reading; she's especially fond of Gene Stratton Porter's Freckles, though it wasn't a book her parents approved of. Alice is much less shy and tends to say exactly what's on her mind, though she's told to mind her keep; you can tell by her eyes that she's a skeptical little creature! She does, however, have a slight limp due to the fact that one of her legs is slightly shorter than the other. We hope that this will not jeopardize her possibility of being placed with you.
The Bell girls' parents died recently in a boating accident, and it is important that we are able to fit them with a new parent or parents as soon as possible.
