Sarah Ruth found little a baby boy laying in his dead mother's arms in the alley behind the Velasco's home. She quickly called Nico and they called the authorities. It seems the baby's birth mother was a drug addict that had died of an overdose. But from this tragic tale Sarah Ruth and Nico were able to adopt the baby whom they named Stephen Emmanuel.
