Kenneth went out to a bar with some friends one cold December night. As fate would have it, Lara was just setting up her equipment on stage and getting ready to perform. He went up to her and introduced himself, and even though she didn't seem interested at first, he returned after her set and bought her a drink. After some light persuading, he got her to agree to go out to dinner with him the following night, and the two quickly became inseparable. Ken proposed in May, after only 5 months of dating, and the two were married on the beaches of Maui in late August, staying for a two-week honeymoon in the late-summer paradise. Lara's parents have agreed to let the young couple live in their vacation home on the lake until Lara gets on her feet with her music career and they can afford to buy their own property.
