Levi and Rory were married two months ago. They met in college and have been dating since their junior year. Levi has a degree in Sociology, but is using it to work in the humanitarian aid business. Levi has been stationed in India for the past year and a half but anticipates being moved to South America in the next few months. Rory's degree is in Social Work and she assists Levi and does charitable work with the women and children of India. She was working in the United States until six months ago, when she got an apartment in India and began working with Levi. Rory and Levi now live in a two room flat in the Punjab region. They have also taken in two stray dogs whom they've named Rani (meaning "queen") and Yami (meaning "pair"). Levi found Rani and Yami one day shuffling through the trash and took in the two females, who are inseperable. Rani, who is the more dominant, is white and shaggy with some black patches. Yami, who is more submissive but never parted from Rani, is light brown and quite skinny.
Well, it took two years, but Levi and Rory are finally proud parents! They were shocked to learn that they were having quadruplets--whom they concieved naturally. They had been living in Guam (after leaving India), but decided to return to the United States to have the babies. Levi is now working in inner-city Chicago. Rory is a full-time mom, but does try to help Levi out when she can. Unfortunately, Rani and Yami were not able to go to the United States, but they were left with good friends in Guam. Because they were so used to having animals in the house, Levi and Rory bought a small black hamster named Russet. They've been calling him Russ. He is very laid back and low maitenance--which is good with four newborns in the house. Alana, Kiro, Matt, and Emily were born by c-section two weeks ago. They have already developed distinctive personalities which are evident to their caretakers (which include Levi and Rory as well as Rory's mother and a neighbor). Alana coos and makes all sorts of noise and smiles, but is content to lay in her cradle. Kiro is very active and is always waving his arms or legs. Matt is quiet and doesn't care too much about his surroundings; he likes to watch the activity going on around him. Emily is a little more fussy. She is also a bit colicky and has trouble with sleep apnea at night, so she wears a sleep apnea monitor. Emily also likes to be held and carried around. Although the quads were born seven weeks early, they are generally in good health and making progress. Levi and Rory have a three bedroom rancher in the Chicago suburbs--a master bedroom, boys nursery, and girls nursery.
