HelpBernadette's Fate Congrats Round One
The way this is going to work is, I'm sure, going to be confusing at first. For each Lucky and Unlucky family, I flipped a coin to see whether something good or bad happened to them. Heads was lucky, tails unlucky. However, being the lucky or unlucky family does not mean that the event will be lucky or unlucky!
Anyway, you guys then have to roll the dice. What's the online dice site again? If someone could give me the link, that'd be great. Anyway, you look under the events section corresponding to the actions that family will take:
Lucky Events:
1) You have a baby (gender your choice)!
2) You have twins (genders your choice)!
3) You adopt a baby (gender and location your choice)!
4) You get a big raise!
5) You buy a home!
6) A happy event of your choosing.
Unlucky Events:
1) You do not have any children.
2) The adoption agency you're working with falls through.
3) You have octuplets-7 boys and one girl.
4) You get a divorce.
5) You get audited (tax time!).
6) Your car gets stolen.

When I went to the Supermarket last Sunday, my car was stolen. I guess I had dropped my keys after I got out of the car. I know I locked it. Right now I'm using a rental car, until we can afford a new one (the insurance we had didn't help us at all).

Anthony and I have been wanting to adopt since we got married. We discovered an adoption center a few towns over, and went to check it out. The place looked trustworthy, so we filed to adopt. A few months later, we got a call from the center, of course, when we saw the caller ID, we got excited, thinking they our papers went through and all. Nope. Apparently our papers didn't go through and they thought of us as 'unfit parents'. When we asked what was srong, the lady said that it was because Anthony got a couple tickets, when those tickets were for missing the parking meter a couple times. We are currently researhing other cednters.

They took out a second mortagage on their house to gain the necessary money, and chose to adopt from China. The wait took longer than normal for the Mallory family because China was in the midst of making changes to their adoption laws. The couple waited with growing frustration until they were finally approved and were able to make arrangements to travel to China and bring him their beloved new daughter.

Well, this is a unique congrats. So no, you wouldn't have a kid in this congrats. In a normal congrats, you get a kid (or animal, sometimes) in every round, or a spouse or whatnot.

Ok, I assued ths would be confusing. It's kind of a test, you know, to see if branding the family "Unlucky" will actually cause them to be unlucky. So, since I flipped tails twice, both of the families would have to take the unlucky events for the corresponding numbers.
