Life goes on for the Windhams. Theron's children from his first marriage have little contact with him and his new family, but they hardly care. There is too much excitement for them to dwell on their despicable father.
Fernando and Miranda's brood continues to grow with the addition of little Catalina. All the children are growing up to be beautiful and bright and they are adored by their grandmother, Roxanne.
Curran has finished medical school and has decided to go into infectious disease. He does a lot of research into cures for different diseases, and he and his new girlfriend Ainsley, who is also a doctor, are about to embark on a 2 month trip to India to care for the ill.
Rhett and Johanna recently graduated from college. Rhett has gone into accounting and has secured a good job. And it's a good thing he did as he and his girlfriend Vera have recently discovered they are expecting their first child, a little girl whom they plan to name Harper Clementine. The family is overjoyed! Johanna got her degree in American Literature and is beginning graduate school. She hopes to get a PhD and be a professor and writer. She and her boyfriend Daveth decided to split up when they graduated as they felt they were going very different ways in life (I removed him from the family above).
Ruby and Coco graduated from high school. Ruby, who is something of a bookworm like her older sister Johanna went off to college at Swarthmore to study English. Coco, however, opted not to go to college, and instead moved to LA to try her hand at acting. After 2 months of auditioning and working at Starbucks, she landed a role on a reality series. She was not only featured on the show, but she became quite the star of the show and the conniving drama-queen that every reality series seems to have. Roxanne simply shook her head and sighed as she saw her daughter on the cover of tabloids. Her exploits with friends such as Lindsay Lohan and the Olsen twins, an alleged sex tape, and rumors of pregnancy and drug use saddened her family greatly. They all tried to talk to her and help her get her life back in order, but she rejected them. No one was as saddened as Ruby who felt she had lost her life-long companion and best friend. The family was even more shocked when Coco began to hang out with their evil step-mother Lacey, who was perfectly willing to have her share of the limelight and party with her famous step-daughter while she left her bratty and unruly children at home with a nanny and her husband was off doing who-knows-what.The pair seemed to be out of control.
Young Clayton has begun high school and does his best to defend his family against the taunts from his classmates, brought on by his wild older sister. He excels in school and hopes to go to medical school like his older brother.
Roxanne is handling life well. She has a great network of friends, 7 wonderful children (well, all but one are wonderful), and 5 grandkids to dote on. She does her best with Coco, and always reminds her of how much she loves her despite the choices she makes. She is hoping that Coco will soon move past this phase and get her act together, but until then she reminds her other children that Coco is still part of the family, and encourages them to love her and reach out to her as best they can. She is hurt by the fact that Coco is constantly seen with Lacey, but Roxanne knows that that is all part of this phase she's going through and in the end she'll find out that Lacey is simply using her for her fame and fortune.
Note: I am going out of town later today so I might miss the next few rounds, but I will make them up when I get home next week!
