Someone in the family died. Who and what happened?
A few weeks prior to Joanna's birth, we received terrible news -- Nate's 96-year-old grandmother, Evelyn, had fallen ill and died in her sleep. While it wasn't unexpected, given her age, we were of course very sad. Instead of the middle name we had intended to give Joanna (Snow, my maiden name), we chose to honor Nate's grandmother by using Eve.
