Six months after the birth.
Alex and I would love to welcome our two new additions to the family, Olivia Violet and Verity Katherine! The birth was quick and easy both twins are doing well!
Olivia was born with virtually no hair, but she is now starting to grow light blonde hair. She looks like she will have my blue eyes but we all know anything can change. She was the first smiler and everybody who sees her thinks she is adorable, which isn't news to us. She has similar facial features to Verity so we think they look similar when they are a bit older. Olivia is now just starting to crawl, and laughs alot.
Verity was the firstborn of the twins. She was born with a stack of dark brown hair which has gradually lightened. She now has blonde hair like all the rest of the children. She was the first baby to smile, laugh and crawl. She has been crawling for about two weeks now and it looks like soon she will be graduating school! She is a pleasure to be around but can occasionally throw temper tantrums for no reason. She almost always sleeps through the night. We think she will be extremely outgoing and will always have friends around, which might be a worry for us!
Christian is now one. He has brown eyes which are from me. He is very quiet and loves drawing pictures. He isn't really into the boy stage yet. We decided he could go to daycare one day a week to make him make friends but apparently even at daycare he is playing by himself. When we go to friends places they always say what a pleasure he is because he is so quiet. I wish they could say that about Sophie!
Sophie is a social butterfly. She will talk to anyone, play with any child even if she doesn't know them. She is loud and when we are over at friends places she always asks them a million questions! We found out she was a waterbaby about a year ago so since then she has been attending swimming lessons and comes first in all of her school swimming carnivals. She started kindy this year and she has learnt how to spell her, mine, Alex's, Donna's, Christian's, Olivia's and Verity's names and is always showing off. Occasionally she throws temper tantrums to get what she wants but we are teaching her not to by using the naughty corner.
Donna is doing well in gymnastics, which she started two years ago. She is excelling at her school work and has been awarded for her exceptional writing skills. She loves her friends and her best friend in the world is Holly. Together, Donna and Holly love cooking yummy treats like cupcakes and Holly loves taking them home to her family. Holly's sister, Reilly, is Sophies age and they also love playing together. Holly's mum, Josephine, is lovely and we love having a good old fashioned chat while drinking cups of tea. We hope Donna continues her excellent standerd when she enters year two.
