Two years after the birth of Annika, Theron finally agreed to marry Lacey. Lacey now enjoys all the perks of being a wealthy plastic surgeon's wife, and there is mutual dislike between her and Theron's children with Roxanne because she was one of the reasons that their marriage fell apart. She is especially hated by Fernando who thinks it's sick that his father is married to a woman who's only a few years older than he. Fernando recently graduated from Princeton, but caused a great amount of uproar when he decided that he would NOT go into medicine like all the men in the Windham family had in the past. Instead he decided to go into investment banking, and he promptly moved to New York City after graduation. There he enjoyed an exciting and busy life and met a girl named Miranda Jasper. Her gentleness and wit reminded him of his mother, whom he had lost so many years ago, and he was soon in love with Miranda. After they had been together about a year Miranda discovered she was pregnant. Fernando's reaction was the polar opposite of what his father's had been so many times: he was overjoyed! Miranda moved in with him and although they decided not to get married right away, they definitely foresaw marriage in their future. Theron, meanwhile, was horrified that he was to be a father at the age of 42, but when Fernando reminded him that he had sired him at the age of 19, Theron could hardly argue.

Abigail is now in her last year of high school. She's doing great. Her marks are very good and we're proud of her, she's started applying for colleges. She also started dating a boy named Patrick. We've only met him a few times but he seems like a good boy.

Austin and Lily are having alot of troubles in school. We though middle school was bad. But now in high school, Austin and Lily are having even more troubles. Austin should be in grade 10 now, but he was failing 6 out of 8 classes before he got expelled for bringing a knife to school and fighting someone with it. He ended up cutting the other boy pretty badly. He got sent to juvi for a bit, till he appeared in court and got sentenced 600 hours of community service hours to be done before the end of the year. He's doing his hours picking up trash on the side of the highway during the day and helping out the janitor in a school near-by in the evenings. He should be done his hours in a few months. We're hoping all this helps him straighten up, he'll be going to a special school after he's done his hours. Lily was also failing a few classes, but after she saw what happened to Austin, she straightened up and got some of her notes up. She's going to go to summer school for 2 of her classes so that she'll be in grade 11 like everyone else next year.

Robin is high school also. He used to get teased alot, but after what happened to Austin, most of the people who teased him are now scared that Austin will fight them. He has a good grades. We would just like him to be more self-confident.

These last few years there has been so much going on in the family. With the help of therapy Rowan started to come out of his deep depresion. It was decided that he would transfer to a special bording school, a High School for the Hearing Impaired in another state. He finished his Freshman year there and came back a much happier boy for summer vacation. At the end of Junior year Rowan confessed to that he was gay. Victor took it very hard. Carys wasn't really surprised. She had suspected for a while that he may be. Victor has come to accept that Rowan is gay, but it still bothers him a lot. Rowan has a boyfriend named Jules who is also deaf. He had attended the same school that Rowan does now and volunteers there now and that's how they met. The age difference is a little worrying to Victor and Carys, but they are cautiously allowing the relationship to go on. It's difficult to know exactly what's happening though because they are in a different state as Rowan is finishing his Senior Year.
On top of Rowan coming out of the closet Victor and Carys also had to deal with Colleen becoming pregnant. David is her first real boyfriend and they have just become the parents of twins, Kai and Nina. Carys quit her job to take care of the babies during the day so Colleen wouldn't have to drop out of school.

We've had some crazy times in our family recently. Nora had a boyfriend from school who her father and I only met once. Against our better judgement, we allowed her to go to a party on a school night at a young man's house whose parents were out of town. We found out later that he had date raped her there. We are absolutely heartsick about it and wish she would have told us so that we could have gotten help for her and pressed charges against Jurgen. She did tell her brother Justis though, and tough-guy that he is thought he should take care of it himself. He confronted the boy after school and threatened him with a knife. The school security guard saw him and he was arrested. We have been dealing with our pregnant teenage daughter and our son with a criminal record for months and it's really taken it's toll on our family. I have to say the only good thing to come out of all this mess is our new granddaughter Nancy. Nora and Nancy will keep living with us and Nora has decided to go to college locally so that I can take care of her during the day.

When Alec first brought Julia home, our first thought was that we were surprised she could put up with him. She was quiet, polite, thoughtful, and an honor-roll student, and Alec was... Winter's nephew came to live with the family short after Ginny was born, at first it was difficult for Yuri to adapt because he missed his father very much; he used to cry a lot and had nightmares from which he woke up crying for his father. Now he is happily living with his aunt and uncle and all his cousins. He has an especial relationship with Gus and he looks up to him; also, Yuri feels like a big brother to Ginny and likes to take care of her.

Rohan's father, Alejandro, has been living with the family for little more than a year. Rohan and Winter invited him to go live with them after Rohan's mother passed away, two years ago. He is happy to live with his grandchildren and to be able to spend time with them. The kids love being so close to their grandfather who they call Grandpa Al; Sissi, Yuri and Ginny enjoy going to grandpa's bedroom when it's raining to listen to his stories around the fireplace.

Two of the triplets have girlfriends. The girls are two sisters that go to the same school than the triplets. Since their house is big and always full of people, Jesse and River are always bringing their girlfriends to dinner. River seems to have a more stable relationship. His girlfriend Julia is a smart and quiet girl and they spend a lot of time studying. River is doing better at school and there's been ages since the last time he was caught trying to cheat during an exam. Winter and Rohan are happy with these changes. On the other hand, Jesse spends a lot of time with Barb and has fallen behind in school, he prefers going to the cinema or to the park and there’s a chance that he will fail his exams. Rohan and Winter decided they will talk to him if things continue getting worse, but they’ll have just to wait to see what happens.

Well, everyone seems to be doing well... except me, of course. That would be becuase I've become a... Grandmother. That's right, at the age of 39, I have become a grandmother. At the hearing, Trent got sentanced to a year in a group home, as he had prior altercations with the law. There, he met his now girlfriend Gwendolyn. Gwen and Trent have been living here on and off, and for a while they were both doing very well. However, when it was discovered that Vic was cheating on me, Trent flew off the handle and assaulted Vic. The police were called, and Trent was arrested. Of course, with Vic's power, and Trent's prior convictions, Trent was sent to the detention centre for young offenders. I started divorce proceedings, and Gwen continued to live here. The kids, of course, were distraught. Vic did everything in his power to gain custody of the children, but in the end, I won. I also got the house, mst of the cars, and the vacation house in the Carribean. Vic got the Landrover and the house on Martha's Vineyard. No loss. Shortly after Trent was sent to the Centre, Gwen found out she was pregnant! What a shock. While I was none to pleased, I couldn't very well make her leave. So she stayed here, and shortly before Trent was released, Eva Charlotte was born.

Prarie is doing phenomenal in school. She's on the cheerleading team, has the lead in the musical theatre production, and has made honour roll the last three semesters. Ginny, on the other hand is not doing so well. She's decided to follow in her brothers footsteps, and has taken up smoking, drinking, and drugs. When I tried to help her, she ran away for a short while, and during that time I found out she had been skipping school and had missed too many days to go on to the next grade. When she got home, she was not impressed with being held back, and decided that if she had to do it again, she wasn't going to go at all for the rest of the year. Without Vic here, I'm powerless to make her go. So, she stays at home with Gwen and Eva. I'm not sure how they fill their days, as I spend mine at the Country Club, but I don't care, as long as the house is still standing when I get home.

Dear Mum,
I hope this letter finds you and dad well.
I have some news for you; Xanthe had a beautiful baby boy. Flip Jacobus Winterborne was born by c-section and weighed 9lbs 13oz. He is such a handsome boy and so big. The doctors were even surprised at his weight. We aren't thrilled with his name but it wasn't our decision to make. Mum and bub are both doing well.
I also gave birth to a gorgeous little girl. Elly Catharina Winterborne was born weighing a tiny 6lb 4oz. She was such a great surprise for Montague and I. I had thought I was going through the change of life so was extremely surprised when we found out about Elly.
The kids are all doing great.
I will just give you a quick run down on them because I have things to do.
Liam loves being a dad and really dotes on Flip.
Isabella has a new boyfriend named Oliver. Montague can't stand him but he seems nice enough.
Charlotte is doing well in school. She has a spelling bee coming up and is hoping to place in the top 3 so she can go to the state competition.
Bianca is also doing well in school.
Lucas and Naomi have become little pranksters. They team up on the other kids and scare them all the time.
Roman hasn't been doing so well. He is always asking about his parents so we have started him in counselling.
Jayden has been upset with the arrival of Elly. He keeps telling us he is the baby and he has began hitting Elly. We are trying to get this under control and have started involving him more in helping feed her etc.

Noah introduced us to his girlfriend Yvette Granger a weeks ago. Noah was very nervous, but Yvette seemed very at ease and is a nice and independent 16 year old. Also, Pennie likes her, so they have fun when Yvette comes over.
Also, Simon is repeating the first grade. Rosie (his twin) is smart and school is easy and fun for her, but for Simon school just meant difficult work, and I don't think it helped much to have a sister who could do everything easily, even if she always helped. Anyway, school just started, and Simon is a lot happier now and we're sure that it was the right decision to keep him back.

Eira has been doing very well at school, until she met Edgar. She was completely in love with him and spent most of her time outside of school with him. We weren't really happy about this, but Edgar (who prefers to be called "Harris") seemed like a nice enough guy, and I was already pleased that at we at least liked the guy she was in love with. One day she came home with him and they said they wanted to tell us something. I expected that they had plans to get married, but instead she told us she was pregnant, and wanted to keep the baby. I told her that she was way to young to have a baby and that she didn't even have a place of her own to raise the baby. Digby was a bit calmer, he asked Harris to leave so we could talk to our daughter. We spent the whoel nigth talking with her and in the end we decided that she could stay with us to raise the baby and that we would help her, if she finished her school. We decided that Jules was welcome to stay her as well, since he needed to help raise his child.

When the baby was born they named him Kai Wander. He's absolutely adorable and we love having him around, except that we would have loved to have him around a couple of years later than this...

Orion is still very very busy with everything he wants to do. His whoel life seems to revolve around sports and music. He's in band and he also wants to compete with his sports at a higher level. He doesn't seem to have enough time to practice for both the music and the sports, so we're asking him to making a decision to choose one thing to devote his time to.

Jojo is still doing just okay at school. He doesn't really seem to have any ambition to do anything. He likes to sit behind the computer most of the time. We're trying to get him more involved in social activities, but he just doesn't seem to be interested.

For a while it appeared that Ava had really changed for the better. She was a good student, she was sociable, and was participating in a number of sports at her school. Then her ex-boyfriend, J.T. Brodie, returned from the military school his parents had sent him to for disorderly behavior. Ava and J.T. secretly began seeing each other again, but it wasn't as if her parents didn't notice an immediate change in their daughter's actions. Their suspicions were only confirmed when, only a week after Ava turned fifteen, she told them that she was having a baby. Of course, her mother was devastated and her father was enraged, but she vowed to keep the child. J.T., too, promised to stand by his girlfriend.

Eight months later, Ava delivered a healthy set of twins, Charlie and Ella. She and J.T. are living with their children in the apartment above the garage at her parents' house. J.T. has a steady job and is taking night classes so he can get his G.E.D., while Ava has decided to continue with school. Although her parents were initially adamant that Ava and J.T. provide for their own family, they've since wholeheartedly embraced their roles as grandparents, and even the rest of the Guilford family has chipped in to help raise little Charlie and Ella. Stellan and Fallon can only hope that J.T. and Ava's relationship will last; so far, it's looking pretty strong. The birth of their twins has really made the two of them grow up.

Stellan and Fallon's oldest, Dominik, also has a significant other, although their relationship hasn't progressed as far as J.T. and Ava's. Dominik met his now-girlfriend, Lila, while on a college tour. This was hardly a conventional meeting, however, since she was the tourguide! Lila is currently a sophomore at Boston University, where Dominik is headed off to next year. Since he lives not half-an-hour outside the city as it is, it's easy for the two of them to find time to be together. They've only been dating for a few months, but it looks pretty serious already.

The kids are growing so quickly! Grant is 17, getting ready for his senior year in high school, and now has a girlfriend, Maria, who is 15. They are so cute together and really do seem to care a lot for each other...yes, I'd call it love :-) They even went to Grant's junior prom together.

Kate is also 15, and Ryan often jokes (since she's the same age as Maria), that he can't imagine his little girl dating yet, though I'm sure that time will come soon.

Ava is 12, and Sara is now 11. The girls are the best of friends and have helped each other through so much. There are certainly still many times that Sara misses her parents, but she has adjusted well to life with our family, and we all adore her.

---

Ian, Trent, and Allie are 7 and second graders. The boys are as close as ever and still love playing together, though now, it's more often baseball than anything else. Allie hangs out less with her brothers at school, and has made her own friends, becoming more of a girly-girl who loves cheerleading and gymnastics.

---

And baby Livie isn't a baby anymore! She's 3 years old and such a sweetheart. She lights up every room she walks into with her precious smile and adorable giggles.

On a sad note, though, Ryan's mother recently passed away, and not wanting his dad to live alone, we invited him to move in with us. He accepted our offer, and the kids love having him around. He's so wonderful with them all...telling stories, jokes, and making them laugh. Certainly, there's still a level of grief, since he and his wife were married for so long, but the kids have really helped him through it, and we're happy to have him with us.
