Jesse began asking many questions about my belly when I was around 6 months pregnant. Walter and I decided to tell right away.
Jesse still doesn't understand where his little sister and brother came from. He likes the story grandpa tells him much more, grandpa told him that he found Laura and Noah growing out of a cauliflower.
I like that story too; he allways told me the same story when I was little and my baby brother was born.

He seemed a little confused, but when the girls arrived he loved them instantly. We named them Niamh Jade, which are Niall's initials, and Ciara Alannah, which are my initials backwards, plus Alannah honors me. Jesse adores his little sisters and is a great big brother.

John and I were thrilled to find out we were expecting our second child. We decided not to find out if we were having a girl or a boy, and so were happily surprised with the arrival of our son, whom we have chosen to name John William.
Elisabeth is only two years old, but surprisingly, she has taken the arrival of her baby brother very well. In fact, she absolutely adores him and always wants to play with him. It sometimes takes quite a lot to get her to realize he isn't like on one of her baby dolls. And speaking of baby dolls, that's how we decided to introduce the idea of being a big sister to Ellie. We went ahead and told her that mommy was going to have a baby, and also gave her a doll, to show her how to be "nice" to the baby. Much to Mommy & Daddy's relief, she's thrilled to be a big sister, and loves showing John off to anyone who comes for a visit :-)

He also loves his new room his grandma Sophie designed for him, since he had to switch bedrooms. They don't even wake him up at night. Luckily, it all worked out.

Sydney found out she was expecting again shortly after her son Kaden turned one. She and Christian soon discovered that they were welcoming twins -- boys, at that. Even though he was young, Kaden was thrilled to be getting two little brothers to play with. After Charlie and Finn were born Kaden became a little jealous, but he's since come around and loves holding and playing with his brothers.

With baby 2 on the way, Edward and I decided we had to tell Simon sooner or later (no matter how much I tryed to procrastante). Simon was happy when he found out he was getting a younger sibling. It was when he found out he was getting younger twin sisters when he got mad. We told him he was getting a sibling a little while after we told the rest of our families. I was no more than two months along at the time. He went around telling everyone "I'm gettin' a budder", but I told him that we didn't know if we were "getting him" a brother or sister. When he found that it was twin girls he screamed "GO BACK TO THE BABY STORE AND GEMME A BUDDER!".

Maya and Phoenix decided to tell Misty when Maya started to become very noticably pregnant, which didn't take too long considering Maya was pregnant with twins. They explained to her in very simple terms that there were babies in mommy's tummy and that soon they were going to come live with them. Misty, being a fairly quiet, serious girl, took it all in without a problem, and then proceeded to ask "Babies? Babies?" every day until Mia and Zoe were born.

Once again, Sebs preceded Winter in comprehension, and little Daniel just happened to overhear. "You mean there's a baby in my mommy? How did it get there, Daddy?" Sebs, being a male, left Winter to try to explain, so the poor child now believes his father fed his mother an egg with a baby in it. Neither of us wants to attempt to alter his perception at this point in time.

We told Ashton he was going to become a big brother as soon as he noticed "mama's gettin' fat". He didn't seem to have a problem then; he helped us pick out the color for their nursery (green) and talked to them as best he could. However, when Avril and Amelie actually arrived, he was fussy a lot. We pointed out some of the "big boy things" he could do, and he now goes to the park with Alex a few times a week when Alex gets home from work.
*XD Oh no. I just realized I have a theme in my naming. Alex, Ashton, Avril, Amelie? :P I need to get some non-A names.

She didn't take it too well. She screamed for hours about how she was the baby and threw her dolls at the wall. After a few months she seemed to start getting excited at the possibility of being a big sister and as soon as the babies were born and she realised they had brought her presents she fell in love with them. Now everytime mummy feeds the babies, changes the babies, baths the babies or rocks them to sleep Michelle does the same with her babies.
