~October has been doing great. She and Edie (our other 5 year old) spend hours on end playing with dolls, tea party, or dress up. She is going to start kindergarten this year with Edie and she is thrilled (she sees it as a 'big girl' thing).
~Aydra (Adragon, 8) is not adjusting as well but is coming around. Hailey (our psychiatrist) is really the only person she trusts, but she's also opening up to me some. She had a mental breakdown recently, but we're trying our hardest to keep her out of an asylum, as we don't think that would help, but make her behavior worse. Music downs seem to calm her down, and she often falls asleep listening to her radio.
~Madisen and Sunny (Sparrow Sun) are doing great. Madisen has become quite involved with the community church and gets to go to Europe next summer. She'll be going into grade 10 when school starts but is worried about Sunny (I'll be watching her along with the triplets who aren't old enough for school). Sunny just got a checkup from the doctor and is in perfect health.
~Rhett (16), Mikka (15), and Joy (14) are also doing good. Rhett is going to try out for the school's baseball team. He met our neighbor's 15 year old daughter, Jenna, and asked her out last week. He can't wait until his school's first dance! Mikka and Joy, despite the number of rooms we have, requested to share a room. We gave them a large bedroom next to Rhett's, and I'm surprised that there hasn't been any arguing yet (as sibs tend to do) on who's side is who's. They really love having so many kids around. Mikka often helps me cook meals and she's quite the chef. Joy doesn't like cooking, but she loves watching the kids while Mikka and I cook.
