Hello everyone,
Well we've managed to do it again... that's right, Holden and I have just welcomed our second set of triplets, and I tell you what, no one is happier about them than Holden, Leo and Henry! Sure they got 2 more daughters/sisters, but they also got another male! After careful consideration they've been named Andromeda Shanae "Romy", Bellona Zara "Belle", and Caesar Quintus.
It's no secret that males are definitely the minority in our family (11 females to 4 males!) Naturally the boys hate it, but us girls think it's fantastic!
The kids are so used to having new siblings arrive that Romy, Belle and Caesar haven't caused too many ripples. The only ones we were a little worried about were Addy and Dani because they're such little attention seekers, but they've taken to their big sister roles like pros!
Trixy and Emmy are 16 now and are as identical now in both looks and personality as they were as children. They both have long blonde hair and pale blue eyes, and are both cheerleaders. They're full of life, but unfortunately, their grades seem to be slipping further and further down their list of priorities... At present 'school' seems to sit below friends, cheerleading, the mall and boys (and not in that order either). But on the whole there such bubbly girls that they just make you smile.
Leo, Issy and Henry are very close, but very different. Issy looks a lot like her sisters with blonde hair and blue eyes, but whereas Trixy and Emmy are usually found bouncing around a football field, Issy is usually found in the library. She still has an active social life, but her friends are the ones my older girls refer to as 'losers'. Trix and Em are disgusted that Issy is one of them and are constantly trying to get Issy away from them saying that she's "way too pretty" for the 'losers'... Anyway, Issy seems content and that's good enough for me - she'll change the world one day that girl. Leo and Henry are more like Trix and Em, Leo plays JV football and Henry plays both JV Lacrosse and Basketball - not bad for a couple of 14 year olds! Academically, neither of them compare to Issy, but Henry isn't far behind, whereas Leo is more like his older sisters.
And that brings us to Eva. Eva is my angel in every way... All my kids have blonde hair and blue eyes, but Eva is the only one who got my curls! She's a very quiet, sweet natured girl who would do anything for anyone. She idolises Leo and Henry and goes to every single one of their games - they call her their biggest fan. Eva is an average student and the only thing she excels at is having the biggest heart an 11 year old girl could ever have.
And then there's Jaz - my future broadway superstar. Jaz is only happy when she's singing, dancing or simply being the centre of attention. She's talented too! She does pretty well in school, but academics ain't where Jaz's future lies! She'll have her name in lights one day!
And then there's Cleo, my daughter who could tip the female/male ratio back to 10 to 5... Cleo is a tom boy through and through. Unlike all of her other sisters who always loved girly things, even as a baby, Cleo graviated toward Leo and Henry's toys. She's happiest outside in the mud or climbing trees or bug catching or whatever else she desires. She's a total adventurer.
Now Addy and Dani, as I already mentioned, are attention seekers, though it's clear even now that Dani is definitely the leader. Dani will usually be the first to get into mischeif and, although Addy always follows, she's far more cautious and hesitant. I'll have to watch these two that's for sure!
So that's us!
Until next time,
Mercedes.
