Emerald Katherine Ackerman is 23 years old and is very happy to be starting her new job as a high school science teacher in the fall. She recently graduated from Baylor University then spent two months in Chile where she got to participate in a conservation research project there and also hone her spanish skills. She is very pretty with long light reddish brown hair and hazel eyes. She used to hate her freckles but has grown to like them as an adult. She is a bit concerned that her students will have trouble respecting her because she is so small. At only 5'1" and 105 lbs, she still shops in the childrens section at stores sometimes. Emerald, often called Emmie by her friends, loves to travel but also likes to spend quiet time at home reading or painting.
