She seems most like an Evie Diane to me.
[I hope she's older than 5 when she makes the quilt... I thought quiltmaking is a precision and mathematical sewing challenge, even for adults.]
How about:
Her new sister and brother: Ava Rose and Damien Christian.
Her dead parents: Rebecca Jane and David Alistair.
Her grandparents: Evangeline and Robert.
Her new adopted parents: Rosemary "Romy" and Floyd.
