Dear friends and family,
I have some very exciting news: A couple of weeks ago, River and Lilith found a little grey and white kitten in our backyard. Although we have put out advertisements that we found him, no one has called to claim him. Assuming that no one does, we are planning on keeping him. River has named the kitten Frozone, after a character from the Incredibles.
Elodia has entered school this year. Although she has a reputation for being a chatterbox, she is doing very well. She already has a good grasp of reading. She has two best friends - Danielle and Amy - who she plays with every day. Elodia is enrolled in ballet classes. She has decided that she wants to be a prima ballerina when she grows up.
Lilith and River are both doing very well in school. Lilith seems to be more academically inclined while River seems to prefer music, art, and other more creative productions. Lilith is very excited to have the part of an elf in the holiday festival - we think that performance arts is something she will want to do in the future. She is also taking gymnastics and karate with her brother. River loves to play piano. He is playing a solo piece at the holiday festival! He is starting to get very interested in our family history and loves to hear stories about the past from all his grandparents.
Mom is still taking care of the kids. She walks them to school in the morning, picks them up in the afternoon, and watches them until Chris or I come home. She is very good with all three of them - they seem to listen better to her than to either of us!
