Yep, it is indeed a crying shame. The fact that "Euro" is a Greek word is of no consolation :(
The good old Drachma's demise will unlamented by all but a few. Tragically most Greeks
are more concerned about the miserable fat belgian bureaucrats' attempt to outlaw
"kokoretsi" a delicacy made of skewered intestines and internal organs...
The adoption of a single currency in the "European Union" is the largest voluntary secession
of national sovereignty ever. I have little faith in its success or viability.

You're obviously thinking of Sty and the Family Swine. They might've been a girls' group, but we'll never know, because they were chronic no-shows for concerts.
