It might be that
in reply to a message by Tchernavia Gissentanna
your name is derived from the Slavic cherni/chorni - black. Though I've never heard of Chernavia/Tchernavia per se, there are a lot of similar names in Eastern Europe.
Edited to add: the only instances I've seen of representing the ch-sound in the beginning of a word as "tch" are from transcribing the Cyrillic alphabet into Latin.
But it might be that my Eastern European brain automatically translates new words into familiar words :)
